    It must have the 6-diode bridge rectifier built in. The stator looks like a 3-phase wind, but, only two lead wires. Reading the voltage on the meter in DC suggests, the rectifier is built into the alternator. The best way to use this turbine, is with a pulse width modulator, that can load the alternator proportionate to voltage, emulating a pure resistance. The maximum current needs to be limited to 5% of the short circuit current, to allow the voltage to continually increase proportionately to rotor speed. The maximum current available is limited by the field strength of the magnets/stator impedance. The fact that it can produce high voltage at very low RPM means that the current is very limited. Connecting this straight to a battery would limit the current available, and create a minimum wind speed necessary to develop charging current. that current is greatly limited, because of magnetic field strength. A pulse width modulator can allow the voltage to rise, by reducing its duty cycle. That extra voltage times the current becomes wattage, which greatly increases amperage available to charge the battery, no matter what voltage the battery is. Since the maximum output of the alternator is the same, no matter what the battery voltage is, the wattage available from connecting the turbine direct, is exactly proportionate to battery voltage. The current (above a certain wind speed) is exactly the same. Without an electronic controller, don't look for more than~30 watts into a 12 volt battery, or 60 watts into a 24 volt battery.(roughly 1/10 its rated power!)

    I bought one of these and tested it. They only have 2 problems. The blades are no good and the alternator is no good. They do come with some nice stainless steel bolts though.

    You have to remember to divide the wattage spec by 1000 to get actual watts. Chinese watts are much bigger than ours.

    WAY TO THIN WIRE AND TO SMALL MAGNETS...other than that a vertical do not have enough rpm to run a pma type like this

      Right what you say, generally these generators start producing above 400 rpm, a rotation speed that this type of rotor will never reach.

    I'd like to remind you, to perform the test of the hoverboard wheel motor. In my opinion way better (cheaper, more powerful) DIY solution.

    All small wind turbines actually achieve much less Watt than specified. All practical tests show that small wind turbines hardly generate any electricity. And only at costs above 1$/kWh!
    There is hardly any wind near the ground. And it is also very gusty, which extremely reduces the service life of the systems.
    With solar systems, you can reliably generate electricity for about 8-12 cents/kWh over a period of 25 years!

    I have seen the exact same unit from many vendors so if a person wants to get one of these they can easily find a more reputable vendor than Vevor.

      Hi JustSumDad, yes there are many companies, I think all Chinese, that produce this type of generator, some work but many almost for nothing .... the number of revolutions that this type of rotor reaches is very low for many coupled generators.

      @@windturbine I belive these are all produced in the same facility and Vevor just has their lable slapped on it, I got screwed over by Vevor via false advertiseing. Lost money and had no use for the product in the end. Via Aliexpress at least the buyer is covered mostly, not completely, but mostly.

    Spinning it with no load is a waste of time. Test it with a dump load. I bet it cannot produce more than 200W.

    Hello, I wanted to ask you a question, in many videos I see that they also have to connect a controller, while only two wires come out of my motor as they say that this controller is already built-in. My question is... while it produces the wat, can I connect it directly to the heater or do I have to put a charge regulator. Thank you

      Hi, it has DC output without built-in controller, it won't produce high power even in stormy weather! 🤷‍♂️

      The motor is a three-phase and has a small rectifier diode bridge inside so the output is in dc ...... the performances you can see from the video .....

      Ciao, ci sono tantissimi produttori di questo generatore e viene venduto in molte piattaforme. Per la sua struttura ti sconsiglio l'acquisto, molto meglio una classica turbina orizzontale, la forma del rotore non consente di raggiungere velocità di rotazione giuste per produrre corrente.

    Now way it can produce 600 watts (50amps). I doubt if it would produce 5 amps (60 watts) . The wire is too fine.
    It probably will give you 12 volts, but that is just to fool you into thinking you might have something. Total Chinese junk.

      Yes, the situation hasn't changed, you don't get to produce 10 watts at 300 RPM, a rotation speed that this rotor will never do!
