I just spent too much time trying to install the same odi grips as well. Thank you for confirming my hunch they wouldn’t work.

Thankfully watched your video before ordering ODI grips

Never been so early, don't have time to watch this video but thank you for every tutorial and guide you have uploaded. Greetings from Iceland.

Haha love your dry humor man! Got the same hand guards as your but I’m using the lights as safety is not as important as looking cool 😎

Thanks for the video, I was about to buy the same grips for my 300L but now I know better thanks to it.

I’m assuming 3/16” hole was too big for the dowel?

Love all your vids even though I don't own a RAV4 or a CRF300L! Always entertaining and always impressed with your ingenuity. Watched this one a few days ago then was thinking back to the video of yours I saw where you installed Highway Dirt Bike guards on your KTM. So this of course got me to thinking: why did you not go for the HDB's this time?

I think the HDB hand guards are better, but they don't sell the integrated bar clamp for my Honda.

Lol. A smart person would loosen the throttle linkage.....hindsight is educational. I did something similar on my 50, same issues. You can use some aluminum brazing rods to fill that hole and try again.

Those rods might be a good idea. I've never tried that!

Steel screws on aluminum thread, Loctite is not needed, they already block by themselves, copper grease is needed, in my opinion. 🤔
