  • We took a boat to the Greek island of Spetses (as featured in Glass Onion, A Knives Out Mystery) for the day, and took a walk or tour around Spetses town to get a feel for the place and the atmosphere of this relaxed Island.
Located approximately 80 km from Athens, and 90 minutes only on the ferry to visit, it is popular both with Greeks for a day trip, and foreign tourists looking for a relaxed pace of life.
Where to visit in Greece, Spetses.

Thank you for the walk. I holidayed for 2 weeks in Spetses in '78 when I was a UK student. My memories are of a very undeveloped island. This all looks so busy compared to my memory. I do remember that 3 of us shared board lodging for £1.50 a night. 50p a night for a room and basic breakfast. It is a shame that kids of nowadys have to risk life & limb in South America and Asia to get any where the vibe that I was priviliged to enjoy.

Well, Europe is expensive now, and Spetses is very smart!! I did similar in Paros 25 years ago, totally unrecognisable now, most of the islands are!
