Honestly yeah. And its also satisfying when you havent played in some time and dont really remember but once you open the game all the memories flood back. Makes you feel like such a pro even though youre not lol
I think one thing that's really underrated during Wheatly's turning point is the use of the background elements. Sure, while he does his laugh the light fades and the fog fades from light to dark, until only the red light of the bay beneath him lights him, but also the way the whole place immediately becomes a part of him - not just him testing his power with the faith plates or the translation software, but the panels moving with his laugh like you're in his throat, how all the panels on the wall turn to look at you when he starts trying to pressure you, or the way the arm holding GLaDOS's potato moves with him like it's a real arm. It's all very well animated.
I think your wrong about there isn’t any replayable because Easter eggs like the ratt dens and also secret dialogue I think u could go back to game and find something new every time
Another part of the replayable-ness is the level editor that was released a year after. Not exactly what he was talking about, but still a reason to continue playing the game.

No replay value? On my, maybe 5th playthrough, I decided to stay and hear all the dialogue a character could say, and theres this part when you get the portal gun, where if you wait, the last thing Wheatley says is something along the lines of "just walk over there, and look up" To me, it recontextualized his character, because at the end of the game he also mentions using other subjects who failed getting the portal gun, his hatred for "smelly humans" and his job, all led me to believe that the few remaining subjects, WHERE killed by him, and you where likely the absolute last test subject remaining, and he was intending on using you until you died.

I don't get the complaint about replay value. You don't have to replay the same game, since there are numerous mods for both Portal games, that offer varied and sometimes improved experiences. Just mod the game and go nuts!
Next to Batman: Arkham City, Portal 2 was one of my favorite games from 2011. Also, did you know that the in this game the Companion cube has a little song that you can hear if you listen closely? I love Portal 2 or the first one cause it gives you more story and motivation to leave the facility again. I always wanted a true third game to series but I think two is good. The co-op mode, both the Aperture Science level and the Portal stand alone story level in LEGO DIMENSIONS, and Portal Bridge Constructor have done their thing doing something somewhat different.
The only thing that I disagree with in this is that Portal has no replay value, I guess it depends for everyone but I had so much fun playing Portal 2 again after beating it like a week ago
When Wheatley uses the translation software, he says, "You are using this translation software incorrectly. Please consult the manual." Absolutely love that joke
One thing you didn’t mention was the Easter egg tie with half life and the borealis, especially when ratman mentions black mesa and the theft of the borealis
Before going into this video, I always like to give my own opinions on the games and see how similar they are to the videos. First of all, I must say that the visuals and sound design of this game are a real step up compared to the first game (with certain rooms even going so far as to change the music with regards to how close you were to solving the puzzles). The voice acting is also brilliant (especially the scenes in chapter 5 and chapter 9). Speaking of those chapters though, it's really funny to realize that all of the chapters start with the word "the". However, it's a missed opportunity to make the chapters spell out something. CCRSEFRIP or CCCBRSEFRIPWHKY both give no messages (even when put through the caesar cipher). It is clever that the final 3 chapters spell out "RIP", but I feel like that that was unintentional. When it comes to the gameplay, Portal 2's puzzles aren't the greatest out there. While it does a really great job introducing the concept of portals, the other elements in the game are rarely utilized in unique ways. For instance, if you see propulsion gel and repulsion gel together, you almost always have to make a pathway for yourself on which to jump up. By using that line of reasoning, you could easily just check for any long stretches of hallway (they are usually accompanied by portalable surfaces on the ceiling), and figure out how to progress from there. While the conversion gel makes this a bit trickier, it isn't used nearly enough. Another issue with these puzzles is that the goal is often in sight from the moment when you enter the test chamber. This can cause you to solve the puzzle 'backwards' and figure out the solution from there. Portal 2 isn't the only puzzle game that suffers from this though, and it is very difficult to design around this issue. I must say that the story was quite decent. It wasn't amazing or anything, but I still preferred it. My favorite part was chapter 5 when Wheatley betrays you. The best part about that scene is that you could actually emphatise with his reasons. After all, Wheatley rarely saw the tests that you had to go through (and when he did see them, he saw them from a perspective that made the puzzles appear easier than they actually were). Of course, his betrayal was mainly caused due to the fact that his power corrupted him, but he still felt remorse after punching you down the hole. However, when you get to the Old Aperture Science facility, there isn't much connection with Cave Johnson and Caroline. While they are great characters, they aren't speaking to you in a live setting; they are just prerecorded messages. For the entirety of chapter 6, you basically have nobody to accompany you. Even during chapter 7 when you meet up with GLaDOS, she is often just in an idle state. I also really disliked that most areas are just large for the sake of being large. While it is certainly impressive that Aperture Science had such a large commitment to hollowing out all of these areas, they felt really bland. The majority of the time is just spent looking for the one area that you're allowed to put a portal before going to the next big room. All in all though, Portal 2 was a good game, but there were certain aspects that felt a bit lackluster.
