@@Ram-1231 We literally just said Russia is never going to fight NATO. What point are you trying to make? As to wargaming and simulations, two things. Wargames are designed to portray your enemy in their best possible light. The reason OPFOR at Fort Irwin basically went undefeated is exactly that reason. Simulations are designed to break the side conducting them if they are done well and for the right reasons. Those same simulations are why everyone predicted Ukraine to fall in 48-72 hours. The Russians have dramatically under performed, by literally everyone's expectations. Even their own. But you are right, NATO will not encounter Russia, except by proxy, which it is already doing
.
@@volairn70 No. NATO won't fight Russia. They will only do it through proxy wars. Russia will fight NATO. NATO isn't in a position of leverage. It's all about about leveraging. Russia is not in any way scared of NATO.
@@Ram-1231 I don't think anyone argued that point. You came in saying "are you all smoking weed?" Then basically said the same things we were already saying. No one said Russia was scared of NATO. I mean, even Putin knows NATO is a defensive organization, in spite of the BS he uses to fuel scaremongering propaganda to drive his own agenda. That said, Russia absolutely lacks any real capability of launching an conventional offensive against NATO if it wanted to without the use of nuclear weapons. I don't think anyone on either side believes they will ever try that, but rhetoric is useful to both sides for their own agendas. Just rehashing the old Cold War vibes.

The US Army still has Pathfinders, but they're not of the same caliber, nor treated the same as the UK's Pathfinders. In the US, it's just an academic course and certification. No, professional soldiers, do not think Russia would invade NATO countries either, because they do not have the manpower or resources, to hold territory and control whole populations all the way to the French coast and beyond.
