    Hello my crabulous specimens, I have excellent news! Thanks in large part to all of your excellent support I have moved into my own apartment!
    This, of course, means that RUclips is now my full time job. So the uploads are gonna come in droves, and the quality of videos is only going to go up!
    Unfortunately, in moving I no longer have access to my higher-end PC that I used for Skyrim, so now I'm using my laptop. I will largely be playing RotMG and other low spec gems until I have the money to replace the old rig. Until then, I'm just gonna embrace it.
    Again, thank all of you epic crabs for being here for the ride, there have been high highs and low lows, but at the end of the day, your support is what is allowing me to make a small living off of these videos. It really isn't much, but it's enough to keep myself afloat and live modestly.
    As for me, I'm off to make another video now. You all are the best!
    I hate seeming sales-y but if any of you are at all interested in some cool perks and benefits and also want to help keep the channel afloat then by all means do pop on down by my patreon. It means a lot, thanks! www.patreon.com/CritCrab

      Ok. First things first, before the Cringe Relapse, Craigs, or even before I put the Shell on: Congratulations! It’s great to see that you’re doing well. All OUTside the Barrel, and shit.
      warning: FALL HAZARD. Do not tip Wall of Text onto your Clutch-Kin, Crabs are all-too vulnerable to such craven Blunt Force assaults upon our magnificent chitin! Take care!
      Now... as my Overlord (King Crab? Doge/Duke of Dungeness? Just M’lord Crit? I beg m’liege’s pardon, as I digress easily, being a Cannabis Crab)... as you command, I offer my humble scuttlings and snippings of opinion. As a hobbyist writer/gamer/reader that loves the channel, I don’t think I am able to give Constructive “Criticism”, but I think I can give some Feedback, in addition to stoned rambling, gushing asskissery, and abundant digressions & run-ons.
      I would say the game or background is less important than the fact that you’re pretty obviously a gamer that has played or at least understands the system(s) in play - at least as well as possible, in the case of those homebrewer types, lol.
      Speaking only for myself, I think most of your stuff has a “deep dive” quality; not to over analyze your work, but I consider this to be both endearing on a personal level, putting a bit of context (hard for most speech synthesizers) on some of the most abyssal depths that TT/ RPG gaming & I think this important, as a lot of folks are exposed to any one of the myriad games for the first time is from stories like these, and if outside context, even some of the more mild ‘horror stories’ would probably scare away most non-toxic players. Some of the DnD, green text, WH40k, Pathfinder (lol etc) stuff is excellent, and can be entertaining in nearly standalone fashion, even to those who aren’t into the games - ex. I haven’t played WH40K or any TT other than DnD (2-3.5, not 4, know 5e rules but haven’t played yet)... The All Guardsman Party/Cold Shoulder come to mind, WH40k as a setting has a disproportionate amount of good stories. As does Call of Cthulhu; Old Man Henderson, Herr Schnitzelnazi... lmfao. Just spitballing. The mention of your patreon, merch, w/e is done properly - at the end, and unobtrusive; so: anyone that can’t grasp the fact that
      Every Crab Must Eat is trying to starve you.
      Starving is lethal.
      Lethal:Causes Death ->
      THEY are trying to kill the Emperor of Crabs!
      This must not stand? ... then the ??? ->
      (somehow) PROFIT!
      Pardon the stoned ranting diatribe. Hope a few bits of this wordsalad help. Or are legible, lol.
      E: I git güd @ wurdz sumdayz. Maybe tomorrow
      E2E: This one had sooooo much. Still unpacking.. D&D + Soldiers (see Booze) + Booze (see Soldiers)... dredged in tears, dusted in cringe, and fried in hatefucking. Don’t scuff your shell up, it’ll be there until your next molting, m’Lord!

      The bible quite plainly tells us that someone who does what she does is not a Christian and it tells Christians to separate from people like them and to treat them as though they are heathens.
      I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. This is honestly a suprise for me: a Very intelligent DM thst had the honesty to at least TRY to work with both a Craig & Karen after discovering the fact. I'll be the first to admit that having a single Craig or Karen in your group is bad, but Both at the same time is a Nightmare. A lot of misconceptions about D&D started over a "LARP" gone wrong, where a teenager was supposed to have been seduced by the game and wound up kidnapped or some bullshiggity. It was a made up story so his folks didn't beat his ass for running away from home and the police officer aided his lie. that's the TL:DR of it. D&D is not the devil, though I would find myself hard pressed (as a player) to be an Evil aligned character. I am a Christian. My first character was a Bard, but it's our druid that keeps hitting people up. My Aasamir Paladin has a crush on the half Ifrit Barbarian, and while I (In character) follow the commandments of my chosen deity, anything not explicitly spelled out is up for debate. I remember my character having a theological difference with a servant of a LG god, but the LE servant who showed up in our campaign? I had NO reason in character to fight her, we got on well, and it was our NG player who kept expecting me to put up objections lol. I said "We'll see how things go once we do not have a common goal. Besides, she has given her word that she's only looking for the artist, so I've no reason to doubt her." We left on good terms and never came to blows. I still resent that Cleric from the LG god for not wanting to help a sick child without payment first.

    • @salvadorsanchez4136
      @salvadorsanchez4136 5 лет назад +1

      Just a minor note next time a Lg cleric doesn't help a child expecting compensation they could lose their powers as it's seen as selfish and not what a Lg god would want. Bring it up next time a Lg character does some shit like that.

I was exposed to D&D when I was in college, and I am convinced that it is completely morally neutral. It can be fun; it can be really useful for building friendships; it can be great. I suppose it could be used for the devil's work, if it was a home-brew campaign, and the DM was a devil worshipper. But that's clearly not what it was designed to be.
