Yes don’t wait till the last minute to speak up. You are paying for a service and it should be done correctly and if not say something and if they don’t correct the mistake, leave and don’t pay them for crappy service

les rey it’s a really bad thing for nails. There’s a thing to make ur fake nails stronger so they don’t bend or anything. And there’s this product to do it. But some nail salons don’t use it, maybe bc it’s to expensive so they use MMA. Which is very bad, it can cause blistering, allergic reactions, painful hands and ripped bleeding skin. It is banned bc it’s that bad. Nail salons are not suppose to use that. It’s illegal

It’s normal for under your nails to be sore if the nail tech was rough with them. All that pushing and pulling and rough filing usually makes my nails sore for a day or 2 after. Just depends on how rough the tech is.

ForevaLaTrelle thats normal if you get regular polish, but before they begin the service is ridiculous
You should never pay until the end, because they might do a terrible job, and a tip is if the work is good not because they say they want one...
Also the way he was putting the acrylic on was not how you apply it, also he has clearly over filed your natural nails, and your nails would already be irritated because of the way he took your nails off, you should never ever remove gel/acrylic nails like that, they should always be soaked off, when a nail tech sits you at their station they should 'always' bring out "new tools" not dirty or used tools, its unhygienic and can give you soo many different nail infections.
And if your nails are all hurting the salon might be using the illegal monomer, and you should remove the nails immediately, preferably by a licenced nail technician...
Your nails looked ok from a distance but as soon as you held them in the light you could clearly see how lumpy and too big for your nail beds which was another reason your nails would have been hurting...
I know you were doing this because it was the lowest rated, but please remember they have a low rating because of how bad they are... you were soo lucky this could have been so much worse...
I hope your nails are feeling better, and next time you get your nails done (at a good salon) you lovely dad can get his pedicure... he was soo sweet to help you film...

The liquid he put on your fingers was probably acetone or nail polish remover to clean up the nails, and he should’ve never ripped off your other set like that they’re supposed to soak off the acrylic! 😭 never go back 😭😭😭

That is messed up. Consider driving a little further to a nail salon that is more respectful. It is mad rude (and borderline racist) to ask certain customers to pay before the service.

Acrylic burns on application for alot of reasons like hot weather, too much primer, or thin or sensitive nail beds. Doesn't HAVE to be bc its MMA monomer.
The fact that he is using liquid out of weird, unmarked containers is highly suggestive of illegal mma product.

Imagine going to a hair salon and your stylist using products out of generic, unmarked containers. Or going to a bar and seeing them make your drink out of clear bottles with no label. Hell naw.

So another reason why your nails could be in pain is because they filed your nails too much, i have had it happen to me many times when I would get a new set after another and my nails were damaged.

Seeing videos like this really infuriates me, I have been a nail tech for 4 years now and I love my job and customer service is what counts. Making you wait and the putting the acrylic on so sloppy I mean wtf, and for you to pay first that is outrageous

I went to a nail salon in staten island and the nail lady tried taking off my old acrylic nails off with a metrocard so i didnt get them done but my mom ended up getting nail fungus.

If your nails are hurting ,it also may be because they used the wrong size of the nail tip! If the tips are too small and they "force" them to fit ,then when the acrylic is completely dry and done , it may hurt! Just saying! Love u

NAIL TECH TIP: if ever you feel like your nail tips hurt the next day, it's because the nail tip/extension is too small for the nails. Once the acrylic or gel is overlayed, your natural nails are being forced to fit the tips. It's just like when someone tries to wear small shoes, its gonna hurt, same thing applies to nails.

Nail should never hurt he could have filed your nail bed to low with the electric drill. Or your having an allergic reaction. If you feel tingly in your finger tips ,or itchy you should remove them. If not it because you nails are to thin and weak to hold the enhancement try shortening them

The reason why they hurt could be that the tips he applied are to small for your nails or he has overfilled your natural nails I would remove them ASAP as if the tips are to small it could cause separation on your natural nail

One time, back in 7th grade I went to get my nails done. I was getting my first Acrylics done so I was excited. I went with my cousin, It was her first time as well. The place was very nice and had great reviews and all that. We were getting are nails done at the same time, we were sitting next to each other. While the lady was in the MIDDLE of doing my nails and some women walks and she get's up in the process of doing my nails and does the other lady's nails and then as a co-worker of hers massage the lady's back. I wanted for like 15 minutes for the lady to finish the other girl and I just though it was rude of her to just leave me in the middle of doing my nails. Also, the people doing our nails were a little rude, my cousins mom dropped us off and explained that she had to go somewhere and that she would be back before it's time to pay. Every like five minutes the lady would stop and ask me when her mother was gonna be back. My nails ended up looking good but I didn't have the best experience.

Rei Rytixoh MMA is actually illegal to use on nails. It shouldn’t hurt at all actually you might wanna look into another nail place or ask not to use MMA on you.
If it burns when you get gel polish applied, normally its because you have either taken the previous nail off wrong or they polished too thick! But with acrylic there is multiple reasons why it couldve burned
Your nails should not be hurting. Find a good nail tech and have them help you trouble shoot what the problem is. It could be acid primer, allergy or hypersensitivity, the product, over filing, but what ever it is it's NOT normal or ok.

I'm a nail tech and absolutely could not handle any of this ..I just randomly came across this video I can't believe there are nail salons like this still around 😳 I remember seeing shops like this way back in the day years ago..he applied that acrylic on way to messy and I'm pretty sure it was MMA especially if your fingers were sore like that. Also him ripping them off was terrible you should always soak them off. Other then that girl I loved watching this ❤ ..very beautiful and soo sweet..I'm a nail tech here in Vegas I would love to hook you up lol ..

another reason that your fingers hurt could be because the liquid to powder ratio was off, and it definitely looked way too runny... that means the acrylic might not have cured properly, and what you can feel is it curing and shrinking
yeah i never like to use cuticle oil at the end, it's just a greasy feeling for me
