- Somlar Koko is another Cambodian traditional food. It is consists of many different kind of ingredients. The major ingredients in Somlar Koko are the kreung, rice powder, prohoke, and fresh vegetables. Somlar Koko is best serve when it's hot and eaten with hot steam jasmine rice.

When I was a kid my grandma used to always make it and growing up Cambodian you have to eat it!! I was never a fan of it. I would always pick at the vegetables and just mainly eat the meat. Funny how this is my number 1 all time favorite Cambodian soup now that I'm an adult. Lol

Omg. My favorite! I didn't like it till I was older, only because my aunts and uncle would make it so bitter, but my mom made it with out the bitter veggies, and it's so good. I'm gonna have to try to make this now. Thank you :)
