I just got this and it performed better than my old 33 gallon Craftsman compressor. I combined the compressors for 50 gallons and painting small cars with them now. The 33 gallons worked too hard and had wait times to build up pressure for car projects, but combining 2 compressors sure does the trick for me when painting.
Im confused when peoples say you cant use this or similar compressor for sandblasting etc… Yes you can, of course is not a commercial/industrial compressor, but yes you can. I use it at least 3 times a week for sandblasting and of course a bigger compressor get the job done faster, but with this one you can still get it done just need to be more patient. For example i can do a motorcycle rim in less than 15m. It depends on what your working on. Btw good review, just needed to make clear that yes you can sandblasting with this.
I’ve been following you for about a year and I guess I missed this video because I just bought this compressor today to paint both of my box Chevy’s with a LVLP gun. I’ll be posting the entire process for both cars so we’ll find out very soon if it works for this purpose or not.
_Yes you can do an entire car with this compressor if you know what you're doing.. I've done an entire corolla with a 26 gal Fortress just had to finagle my gun to my compressor specs. Check this vid out he did a Tahoe with a little 20 & an lvlp._ ruclips.net/video/vj9rW9Uh96M/видео.htmlsi=ICX_HVHG5uV_0elN
Im thinking about getting one for the same purpose ( paint a bumper, fender.... . I'm debating between this compressor and the Mcgraw 29 gal). How u like yours? Did it work for painting a bumper? Lmk please.
I have painted 3 whole cars with the cheap harbor freight 21 gallon compressor. This is plenty compressor for painting. All the paint jobs I did were done with the cheap purple HF gun and all were urethane primer , base coat , mid coat pearl , and 2 coats of urethane clear. All came out great. So what if it runs once in a while it will hold the psi you need no problem.
@@VirtualTurkey auto air tools like da sanders or paint sprayers demand a lot of air pressure for a longer period of time. your paint sprayers need high air flow to atomize paint or u will get spitting of paint and it will ruin the job. and when painting u really need the gun to spray for a longer time,ie you cant stop painting for tank to refill. ie your gun will work for a minute but ,will start spitting as soon as pressure drops. same with da sanders they demand a lot of pressur for longer time. when sanding you would like to sand for at lest 5-10min, this tank will not last long , you could sand for like 1 min the have to stop and wait for this tank to fill. good tool but, really not for auto body work.
I have an '85 2-door Caprice. It was my poppop's. It's got 24k on the odometer. Landau top. Needs a little bodywork, but it has the original 350 carburated motor. Red velvet interior, and it still looks good on the inside. I just don't have the time or money to fix it.
DO NOT buy this Compressor. Mine has less than 5 hours on it. ONLY used it to blow dust off my tools. I bought it March 10th and it FAILED July 5th. HEre’s the great part, HarborFreight support BLOWS a lot harder than this Compressor ever did. Get this. 10-12 WeeKS to get the Part AND they cannot (will not) give me a price. They’ve been selling this thing for FIVE years and don’t stock the PARTS????? I called them and all I got was apologies. Well an apology ad a dollar will get me a cup of coffee. I don’t drink Coffee. The Lady on the Phone was very nice. But worthless. She couldn’t even FIND a Part Number one of the intake reeds failed. VERY COMMON issue. But they don’t have the Gollydarn Part. So I have an expensive paperweight. And some ANGER.
I bought the Harbor Freights, McGraw 21 gallon 175 psi oil-less unit. It died in less than 2- Years time with very little use. I don't see this unit lasting much longer. As they have a lot of the same components. Good luck with manufacture support & finding parts. They don't exist. I'm very disappointed with my purchase.
My mcgraw has been kicking for 5 years now, feeding an additional 21 gallon tank, running a coats tire machine on occasion. Only complaint is how noisy it is
@@shelbymoe1211 A week ago, harbor freight had the 3 gallon on sale for $50. I needed a compressor. So I gave them another try. It took a %#@^ in less than a week. Also, a McGraw. Good luck !!
Does this 27 gallon compressor still work good?

So does it paint or not? You never showed us
That extra regulator (i think you said it was a dryer regulator) what does that do again? Like, the main benefit?
keeps moisture out of your tools. like water getting into your paint sprayer..
So you said that this compressor "won't hang" What do you mean? Why doesn't it work well?
Yes for automotive settings no it isn’t that good. If you are a hobbiest then this may be for you
@@cappafpv elaborate. That kind of statement needs an explanation.

Thank you! need one to run air sander.. save me from buying twice!
Yo!!!!!!!!! I need a compressor for an air sander for wood work... Just an orbital sander... How does it hold up for you?
I just want something that can keep up with almost constant shots and refills on my 1.4 gallon air cannon which can go up to 150psi.

Nice box chevy, have you heard of Tropical Glitz for Kandy's?
The 200psi is for outlet?
So you don’t think this would be a good air compressor to spray paint a car?
Oil less will burn up if you use it much, talking from experience.
