It's 2023 and you know what that means - yes that's right! Winter finally learns the difference between "less" and "fewer" and updates Dark's hearthstone card to say "25% fewer minerals".
In the last game, I feel like an offensive spine or two would be better than what Dark did. Maybe instead of expanding to natural? That only gave him extra larva for more lings, but if you instead spend your money on offensive spines then you don't need the extra larva. Spines would force units other than adepts, so lings would survive more.
41:30 - if the probe zaps first then the muscles should contract and the drone shouldn't be able to respond (attack back). Different physiology of course and redundancies I know, was just joking!
Those new map looks amazing. I have only one regret, my favorite caster ' you and Indy ' are not pro. I would have really enjoyed seen your name on a tournament bord. Damn. U made SC2 scene so much better that I don't even understand how you never manage to be pro. Indy same as you. You guys are so talented at commenting and understanding the game.
I really feel like Hydras need to be SEVERELY lowered in cost (just raise the lurker cost by the amount decreased). Hydras are one of the most iconic units in the game and yet have been relatively terrible for far too long. They should not be such late game units either. And it takes so many Hydras for them to be effective. Its such a shame because I doubt we'll ever see an update address this. I've never seen Hydras be a winning play, they almost always are a liability.
Limit Queens to 1 +1 per Hatchery/Lair/Hive. Queens are just still too strong an offensive unit, which isn't even what they are designed for, shutting down the early game. Gateway units get +1 Shields in power field or while under the effect of Shield Battery Recharge?
Hot take: Protoss being required to build a building wall every game vs Zerg and defending it with a shoddy hold-button unit is bad game design. Protoss should have some form of defense that is intuitive just as Terran does.

Would be pretty cool though potentially too powerful since part of beating T as Z is getting a ling run by through their natural when their pants are down. Maybe they would have to power the phase wall on and off?
@@Fohnzii It would definitely need a pylon just to be built. Maybe if the pylon is destroyed the wall allows free access and vision. Or it could be used to trap the Protoss. That would be interesting.
Protoss can build a spine and spore crawler in a single building but won’t drop one in a mineral line to protect against a ling run by and say they have no options. I will say, though, it would be nice that if you build a certain tech building it would allow a nexus to produce its own power field to make those kinds of defenses easier. Would also save hundreds of minerals down the line since you won’t have to drop a pylon with every nexus to build there.
@@Tobeh then why does anyone bother with a wall? Lings absolutely destroy mineral lines before cannons can repel them. Banelings destroy entire probe lines with cannons in place all the time. There needs to be better structural defense for the main base and natural at least

any patch that doesn't get Terran to win a tournament is good. Nobody wants to watch the Marine and Tank combo for 20+ mins and definitely not watch Terran vs Terran because 2 turtles fighting provide no entertainment.
Ahhh the irony of Winter talking about all the justifications for not building hydralisks while we watch oracles take free rein over the whole map all game long and archons/blink stalkers/immortals smashing everything, and I'm just thinking how funny it is that mass hydras can literally hard-counter all those things.
Dark is so boring to watch, Zerg cheese doesn't feel risky to me. Doesn't feel like an hard ace to pull off, just a literal A move with queens then rally down, keep injects going until they win. The other player has to be literally omnipotent and somehow figure out how to read if its cheese or regular...but they both play exactly the same until a split second. Toss cheese requires lots of micro and mind games and Terran cheese is like comical and easily telegraphed but durable and effective. Zerg is just...A move rally, I hope they don't have units. IDK just isn't fun to watch tbh, probably hella fun to play.
I don't know if this is a good idea but perhaps a buff to hydra's would be an upgrade to the spore crawler which allows them to morph into a spore colony that only provides garrison benefits to ranged units (primarily hydras) which would give them a range bonus and keep them out of harms way like a bunker does for marines. (would be kinda funny to see a lurker in it tho) The spore colony would be stationary and the same size of a bunker (9 squares i think the number is) instead of 4. Two hydra maximum for them - same space as a bunker but hydras take up two squares. The spore attack wouldn't change and would essentially be just a large spore crawler that can no longer move (maybe increase its range just slightly to match the building size). Not sure if this is a good idea, just something to help buff hydras are they are too squishy for what they have to deal with.
What did I just watch lol. The cast was great, but the games themselves... Fun, yeah sure, but super strange. New maps look... like someone needed to keep some interns busy and they spent their time wisely. They really do look great, though the carpet situation is a mess (even without the creep everywhere). Otherwise, well done.

Saving units from damage by popping them in and out of the nydus, basically Dark was juggling queens through the nydus so they last longer
