      @gargar gooarr Yes, I agree VFX Artists deserve better, but dude, actors and actresses are like the vegetables in a soup. They're the one who gives emotion to the film. Mo-cap may replace their physical presence, but who will put the emotion and heart to the characters? It's hard to convey non-heartfelt emotions, especially when it's melodramatic. Try acting yourself and tell me if it's hard or not.

    For all the noobs who ask why they didn't get real suits made for then when filming instead of cgi it's the designs hadn't been made by the time of filming. And no they couldn't wait for the designs before filming because these big movies are under hard strain and pressure to film because of the multiple cgi, audio, and other work that needs to be given a good year to work on. Keep in mind filming movies take a good 3 months and a ton of work is still left to do after that.

      Bro, we have been waiting since 10 years. Everyone could have waited more than a year. Besides, this movie was gonna be huge, do you really think money couldn't bought time for the suits?
      They wanted to flex their cgi stuff,that's it.

      @Tony Toons
      First, the CGI suits look incredibly realistic so it all worked out in the end.
      Second, they couldn't wait a year because that would've wore out the effect Infinity War had on people, which wouldn't have made the movie that high-stakes and exciting.

    Crazy awesome!
    It was weird to the off-track wobble on the helmets though. I'd think they'd fix that considering everything else was done so well.

      That's for character artists, they need to know anatomy and basically how to human body works how it reacts to light and how the muscular works, there are different kind of artists, those who specialize in effects like smokes and fire and stuff and others on physics and so on

      @@steflinga It makes sense that certain artists with certain specializations would need to know about biology, anatomy, how the human body works, how it reacts to light and how the musculature works and so on. Most comic book artists, illustrators, animators and painters know about anatomy so I would expect a VFX artist who is working on a humanoid character or an anthropomorphic character to understand anatomy.

    How exactly did they use red dots reference on 1:45 for the suits? It’s not a motion capture. But for what is it? For easy key-animation or for 3d-tracking?

    • @jackbruno953
      @jackbruno953 7 месяцев назад

      If you notice they are wearing alternative outfits underneath it’s possible that for this shot they weren’t originally gonna use the final white and red suits.
      So CGI artists had to animate this themselves. The red dots were probably some type of basic tracking data just incase they changed their mind about the outfits and they did.
