Funny thing, that... my mom has The Look down for any other kid than her own. Any kid besides my brother and I will instantly fall in line when she gives them that look. But we just know her too well. We've become immune to it. xD Luckily, we don't give her much reason to give that look in the first place.

Yeah, when my son was 2 and he lost his last binky, I informed him that that was his LAST binky. After two days of him fussing about it, he understood that mom wasn't going to get him another one. Besides, they're bad for the teeth anyways. It'll cause them to have an over bite.
Wow for 6 yo these boys seem extremely immature. The parents acted so surprised that they understood the rules, please a 4 yo could understand the rules.
First of all, the parents are at fault allowing their children at the age of six and three not to be disciplined or learn the rules of the household. Now at this stage, they want to have the children behave.
Parents must start with rules and boundaries as soon as babies become walkers. Nothing harsh, just letting them know where they r allowed and implement house rules regarding behavior. I had 3 kids and while they had an occasional tantrum, it was rare. I never thought twice about taking them out anywhere bc they were taught at home what's acceptable. They weren't perfect by any means, but they never acted like the kids do on these shows. It blows my mind at how parents have zero common sense about children.

Why, oh why, isn't this kind of instruction mandatory in every single public school? Most of the world's problems would be solved.

Even if you want to scream, throw rocks, swing from the chandelier, break walls, you will still not have/do xyz. So you can act like that if you want, but it won't change anything, so you might want to save your energy." I'd get this startled stare, and the tantrum was over. Every time.
