Yes, I feel like my “schedule” or plan changes the minute I get it printed out 😂. Loved hearing about your routines, and I love how your son is so involved in the process 💜
I like how flexible you are with your homeschool and let your son choose what he does first and work within what he needs and make it work best for him 😊
I just have to say every time I watch your videos I feel so calm your background looks so clean and bright and your always so cheery and give off this calm vibe 😊 great video too of course ❤
Haha! Don’t laminate it! 😂I definitely do that. But it’s ok because we’re flexible AND I have a ton of laminating sheets! 😂😂😂 My daughter requested a laminated checklist this year. Its going ok so far, but I am not sure its my preference.😊
My daughter is in 7th grade, and she sounds a lot like your son. she is a slow starter in the morning and likes to choose the order of her subjects -aside from starting with Bible and morning basket. I do worry, and would like your insight as a parent- will our kiddos find holding down a job difficult one day because we are allowing them so much leeway as students?? What are your thoughts? I'm pretty sure my daughter is not college bound- unless she takes business classes toward entrepreneurial ends. I struggle with worry in this regard. I was public schooled, as was my husband. I too taught public school for 13 years (elementary grades) before staying home. Thank you for any insight!
I really don’t think he is going to have trouble getting to a job one day. He always does well setting an alarm if we have somewhere we need to be (co-op, meet-ups with friends, etc. ) I totally get your concern. I think the best we can do is just support them and give them tips to help them in the future.
@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife I'm glad you aren't worried - worry is one of my specialties 😅 yes, I think if she were motivated, she would follow a schedule. I think I'm just concerned bc homeschooling is so very different from the way we teach/learn in public and private school. But that is also a very good thing at times, too. Maybe instead of worrying I should watch for evidence that she is able to meet deadlines in a timely way like you have observed in your son. Thank you for the insight 🙂
It’s great that your son chooses his schedule! I do like to laminate my schedule anyway, even if I have to laminate again in a couple of months 😅 so my son can mark it off!
Love how you let him have control and pick things he wants. I think that helps!
I love that you keep it so flexible. I hope your mom is recovering well with no side effects.
She is doing great❤️
I appreciate that you let your son decide how he likes to order his morning/subjects since he's old enough to be able to do that well.

This was great to hear! It made me feel better about how we are doing homeschool. Similar to yours.

I'm so glad your mom is doing better!
Thank you!
I am also a former school teacher! It took me awhile to adjust to the freedom and flexibility of homeschool.
It definitely takes some time.

Well how sweet of you to say all that!❤️Just don’t look in my basement🤣

I would love a detailed video on campfire’s geography when you guys start using it!
I am hoping to start it within the next few weeks.
I love the flexibility of a 4 day school week.
Me too!
I love your rocking chair!
Thank you! I have been looking for one for months and I finally found one at a yard sale for $10.

Don’t get me wrong, I love to laminate. 🤣I think that comes from my public school teaching days.
@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife Yep! 👍🏻 Me too! 😂 I use sheet protectors sometimes for the first bit until I know its going to stick.

Don’t get me wrong, I love to laminate. It always seemed like the second I did it, something would change.
