Wow, I have been binge watching all of your videos. My 12 yr old granddaughter is the female version of your son. I am so thankful I found you. We will be doing both Gather Round and Campfire this year, along with Learn Math Fast. I am going to take it a little slow with her and only do 5 unit studies and see how it goes. I am thanking God for sending me to this channel.
We did Navigating Friendships this year too. My kids do wish it went a little deeper, like another level up - even the youth is a bit juvenile for them - but we enjoyed it.
I heard the hobbit theatrical audiobook by blue fax is fantastic. They took it off internet archives but I believe it’s on RUclips now. I’m going to give it a try with my 14 year old. When you read books do you do any kind of novel study or discussions?
Are you referring to Gather Round? If so, I think you could assign enough reading to earn a credit. You may want to include a novel study or something to help you dive deeper into to the book. I always like using Brave Writer guides with our books.
Ugh why does everyone recommend not consumed. It's such a shallow Bible study. The age ranges are not appropriate for the ages suggested Was such a waste of money for me. What you tube channels do you recommend for kids?
@@lisawesome7588I wanted to love them too. Check out Illuminate Bible Study from Union Gospel Press. I only use the Teachers Guide and it’s been fantastic! Deep, thematic, and family style with lots of additional cross references to go deeper.
@@fab5bailey369 thank you so much for the recommendation. I haven't heard of Generations and it looks really good from the sample! Exactly what I'm looking for.

Wow, thank you! I am just so glad it has helped someone. I hope you have a fabulous year.
Love hearing that the US History mini-units were a hit!
Thanks for sharing! I forgot that you switched to the good and beautiful for LA this year. Great update!
Good to hear that TGATB LA level 7 worked out
well for your son. I really want to try Gather Round; it seems like a good program.
You should! We absolutely love Gather Round!
We are using the US History mini units for our credit. We did the 1st 2 already

Let me know if you find a more in depth Bible Study.
@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife I’m on the hunt!

It really just depends on our mood. Sometimes we use a study guide and sometimes we discuss on our own.
We just did History 3. LOVED IT!!! Where can you find pictures for the timeline? Are they only in History 4?
I remember them only in five.
I think we had them in 2.
I got through The Hobbit, but I only made it halfway through Lord of the Rings - LOL. My kids loved it, and I struggled - LOL!
Oh girl, I don’t think I would make it through The Lord of the Rings.

Question on the Gather round US History... Is it something that you can use as a guide and bring in other books to add to it?
Absolutely!
Do you feel like the book lists include enough literature to also count as a literature credit?

@lisawesome7588 maybe Generations family Bible Study or BJU. We are currently doing BJU worldview and it is very good!
