Thanks for the comment. And, YES, one needs to pay attention to lightning protection and SWR if you want to keep your gear in good shape. Thanks for posting.
I know the feeling. I lost my entire shack contents in a fire in 1976, including every piece of homebrew equipment I built since 1956. I haven't built anything since. Unlike the ham in the video, I did have insurance and I advise all hams to double check their homeowners policies for proper coverage. Thanks for sharing your funny videos. By-the-way, wish this cute young lady was around when I suffered my loss. Oh... she wasn't a gleam in her daddy's eye in '76. hi hi 73, de Mick - WB4LSS
You guys are simply GREAT.. Laughing my AO!!!! keep up the EXCELLENT WORK.. How about HAMFEST BLUES. Where you bring your $2000 radio and get offered $100. Or you buy something and they guy swears it is working perfect and you get it home and it's deader than a hammer. How about the ebay hounds that start looking in your windows before you get out of the car. Oh, and the fest where they charge $3 for terrible coffee and charge for a chair to sit in. I could go on and on... Hi 73, Glenn WA4AOS
W8KWG: This song sure makes you think not to take your station for granted-treat it right, and it will treat you right.

That's why you always disconnect antennas before a storm. And why you have an Emergency HAM Fund
Very clever, great voice
Thanks for the compliments and ideas, Glenn. We are working on more songs/videos, so keep an eye on our channel.
I can certainly relate! Took a direct strike here in May 2011 that did $6,200 in damage!
