Smiv asking for 10k likes... this series deserves 100k likes. Easily the best football series on youtube, truly appeals to all of us who go and actually watch our teams.
Back in 2013, I went to Whitehawk with a mate of mine to watch Wealdstone play them. We thought the funniest thing that happened that day was "Big Dave" drunk as skunk trying to stop the players' bus leaving at full time. Little did we know that after we had celebrated Wealdstone's equalising goal with him, the Wealdstone Raider as he's known now went round to the side where Smiv and Charlie were in the first half and became the viral internet sensation he's know for today. Yep, I was there when the Wealdstone Raider did his infamous "You want some?" moment and it was there, at Whitehawk. Awful ground though, there were almost no Whitehawk fans (so the Raider was right) and the place was basically a building site.
If you're going around Brighton area I would highly recommend Lewes FC. they're a lovely little non-league club that are fan owned and community led! they also have a women's team that play in the championship which is cool!! would love to see an episode of On the Road down at the Dripping Pan (The name of Lewes FC's ground!) (Pleaseeee go)
It's weird that I actually recognize this place now! I've started going to some Hashtag United away games this season and I went to see them play Whitehawk last week. Decent little ground and great set of fans. I can also confirm, that disco ball is STILL hanging there, and the pitch is STILL proper wonky! Apparently the food is really good there now too, but I didn't buy any so I can't say. Lovely German beer on tap though! Had plenty of that lol

Totally agree with your comment on adopting a non-league club. I'm an Arsenal fan (don't judge!) but used to live around the corner from Havant and Waterlooville FC. Went to every home game and absolutely loved it! Still follow them more than Arsenal, and definitely prefer non-league over professional football.
went to a lot of games there when i lived nearby, absolutely amazing atmosphere every game (probably because they sell amazing local beers). food letting the side down though, not sure why they've changed the burgers for this season
I stayed in that Campsite (next to the ground) last year and decided to go and watch a game. It was fun and led to be watching lower/non league games all over the country depending upon which campsite we stayed at. I will do more ground hopping when I return to the UK after wintering in sunny Malaysia!

Loving the OTR series been watching you since Dec last year, I’m always looking forward to a Monday since then either if the football matches have great or boring you always make the content entertaining to watch from start to finish thank you for everything mate 👍👍

you should go to afc wimbledon's new stadium when fans are allowed back in. Elland road would be a good one as well. For non-league hampton and richmond FC is a good shout based in SW london so not too much of a trek either

Great plug for non league, yes Southend Manor have gone from an average of 35 last season to 71 this season, this could be due to the big club down the road not playing well and not having supporters in the ground. The world wants to know when will you get to Southend Manor ? Maybe not the world, but this Kiwi wants to know.
