Hey guys, just realized the typo in the spreadsheet. The 1137 was supposed to be in the shipping costs. Which also means my av item sale price on ebay should be $34.80. My bad!

@gladysanderson1351 practice and a good work flow and work space. Having a proper photo setup where you can quickly go item to item to item with no slow down helps a ton.
Get all your similar items, let's say jeans, prepped in a pile ready to photo. Photo all of them while putting them away in your inventory system at the same time, once through all of them, upload all pics to pc, then list based off the pics.
Anyone who might need help figuring out a work flow is welcome to reach out, I'm happy to help/coach/teach etc

Just a few tips: John Galliano is a couture designer. He made his name at Dior back in the day (known for the saddle bags, which are being reissued this year). The top you showed doesn't look like something he'd design (he's avant-garde, controversial)--maybe it's another brand? The Doen top is typical for their cotton basics. They have pointelle tops that come out every season in different colors. While they're known for their ethereal floral dresses and handknit sweaters, their basics are pretty basic. Hope that helps!

I'm seeing comps on Yamaha leather jackets on ebay. I would just compare yours and try to figure out the range on the ones that are most similar to yours. As far as the tags go, you just learn it over time. There are also resources like the vintage fashion guild where you can date and study tags.

I think you should include the promoted listing fees in your overall eBay fees, but have a breakdown underneath average eBay fees in parentheses of how much the promoted listing fees were. At least until you get a really good handle on how much of a percentage of your profits that it is. I think it’s a separate line item that you should be aware of because it might at some point become less effective or something. I always wonder if when you turn that thing on if they’re giving you extra promotions to make you pop in algorithm and make you really loyal to the promoted listing fees. I hate to say that I’m eBay conspiracy theorist eBay has a lot of tricks up their sleeves.

I have a couple of people who are in the same state as me but most of my wholesalers are out of state. It probably wouldn't make sense to get a wholesaler in the county you shop unless they would be going to places you don't source. I guess what I'm trying to say, is make sure you aren't getting a wholesaler that is going to the same store right before you go sourcing.

As far as the promoted listings--I would love to see what % of items sell as promoted. For example, if you have 200 EBay sales & 100 of them come from promoted listings, your promoted listings sales would be 50%.

I also think you should have a sub group of ebay fees and put the promoted listing fees there on their own line. I am new to you and trying to figure out away to track my own, so im trying to understand your breakdown form. You have 115 for shipping fees and under that is an unlabeled number of 1137. I’d like to see the promoted fees as a subcategory as well so you then are able to tell us “less than mathematically inclined “ how it affected your profit. Or is the profit in your chart already the profit after the promoted fees have been subtracted? Also, have you been able to see if how your items are showing on a page- like are they higher on the page after promotion or about the same? I’d be curious if promoting just drives more traffic your way or if promoting pushes the items to page 1 if they weren’t there before. Just some thoughts as I play around with this myself.❤

Most of our items ship out ground advantage. Which still seems slightly lower than it normally is 🤔 Maybe I had a bunch of sales on Fri or Saturday that didn't get shipped out until Monday so the shipping charges aren't included on the performance tab report? I'm not really sure, but that's what ebay is telling me. We'll see how this week looks coming up and if it includes higher shipping charges.

She literally shows the numbers what do you mean how? She gets alot of items, list alot of items, sells alot of items.

It's just math. So many items listed versus sold, profit per items, expenses, etc. Remember, I do have employees who list. I am not doing this all by myself.

I'm looking at your course and trying to triangulate your numbers - Head-scratchers Cayley - An image on your website indicates your eBay store did $173,000 in 2022 - The spreadsheet above indicates $12,000 for one week in 2024 which extrapolates $624,000 annualized 200% YOY - I've not seen that in 20 years on eBay - is there a general piece of wisdom you can share?

Business has definitely grown! The best price of advice I can give is to focus on self improvement first, everything else follows.

What do you do with all this money lol, we make less then 3k a month and have 6 kids. Life really sucks.

Well, I am paying employees to run most of the show, paying for a leased office, supplies expenses, etc. Most of the money gets reinvested there and I take what's left. I'm still able to take a good chunk of earnings from it for myself, but a lot of it is used to keep business running. Remember, comparison is the theif of joy and you should not compare yourself to anyone on the internet. Everyone's circumstances are different.

Amanda your comment really touched me. I am sorry you’re having such a hard time. I know things are difficult right now. I am praying for your family. For there to be peace even when things are so hard.
