the most lirically misunderstood band ever, most NA conservative boomers think they're just anarchist punks saying "money bad, break shit" but every sentence zack has ever spit on these songs, having an f bomb or not, is nothing but sums of intelligent activism based on history and political science. No band will ever come close to rage, listening to their songs is like reading a book that describes every way powerful people can and has oppressed you

Do you mean like Tom Morello taking to TWITTER to try and cancel a Seattle diner and it's owner because they refused to give the band VIP treatment over the existing customers that had been patiently waiting for entry? The same band that's sponsored by SONY? I'm no boomer but at this point I'd rather listen to conservative boomers instead you and sh!tty bands like Rage WITH the Machine.

Tom Morello, as a musician, in the history of players and playing the electric guitar, created an original and iconic sound with this instrument that was never heard nor thought possible before. Morello will go down in the history of music for this, and it's a wonder the industry doesn't recognize his legendary contribution more, he deserves it! 👊

This song came out when I was in my early teens. These guys lived through Rodney King and the riots. A lot of people felt so outraged at those events. The violence of racism has never before been so exposed so quickly and so widespread. On a personal note, this type of music, this song in particular, was inspirational to me. I struggled with an abusive childhood in which everyone around me in one way or another invalidated my emotions to continue the circle of abuse. I was told my feelings were not real or not ok. This genre of music with bands like Korn, Tool, Rage Against the Machine etc. brought me confidence that I was not alone in how I felt at times. That others felt the same types of helplessness and anger at being unable to control the things that happened to me in life. Because of having somewhere to turn to escape the darkness and despair of isolated hurt and sorrow and feeling so insignificant and worthless I found a strength that otherwise would have remained hidden too deeply within me to be of any use. Going to this music and turning it up loud and shouting the lyrics gave me the only safe place in which I had a voice to express how I felt. Yes, I even attended concerts and moshed myself into exhaustion many times. Now I am 43 years old. The trials of my past have created the best and most valuable of the characteristics I possess today. Despite a diagnosis of bi polar disorder at a very young age I am able to lead a happy and healthy life without medications. For well over a decade. I do no harm to the best of my ability and when I see a need in the world that I can meet I do so. To me that is the ultimate definition of success. I found out I am terminally I'll last year. Thought I had about another 4 more weeks from now to live. I have been fine with it. I have lived a great life and met wonderful people and got to experience so much. I do my best to not have things unsaid. Or regrets I don't address. Or apologies not given. For over 10 years I have worked at living this way. I am on an investigational drug that looks like it will give me 1 to 3 more years of life. So grateful for every moment. Been living 10 years grateful for every moment before I knew I was sick. This music saved my life. Suicide was a constant torment to me throughout adolescent years and it literally was music of so many different kinds that saved me. But it was the grungy, metal stuff that had me able to want to be saved. Glad to hear you guys recognize how talented in the technical aspects of music that this band is. A lot of folks cannot get past the "noise" to really hear how great they are

Idk what type of sickness you have friend but please look into what Eddie Van Halen was doing in Germany, he had some special radiation surgery. He would have lived forever they say if COVID never happened. Because he needed to go back and do these surgeries every year or so. It’s something I’ve never heard of previously to Eddie Van Halen. And I was shocked to learn they absolutely did have a way to beat certain types of cancer the same way they do now for hiv. I cannot believe Eddie Van Halen couldn’t even get some special medical pass to goto Germany for his life saving surgery during COVID when the border was closed.

So for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, they just didnt want to come because they broke up? And that’s why only Tom was there? I thought it was bc they didn’t like it. I was ex tied and waiting. Then sad to see such a short speech and only Tom there. Bc he gave my favorite induction ever to Kiss.

Such a tragic band, one of the few that actually have a relevant purpose but can’t prevail over their own agendas. So sad, so prolific and so damn good all at the same time. Rock on RATM!
