Rod - your boy is becoming quite the angler taking after his dad! Clearly, he thinks the world of you and he’s taken your teaching to heart. I’ve noticed massive improvement in his “pulling up - winding down” technique and his got heaps of heart and muscle in his rod handling skill. Great fish, great trip - awesome experience!

Love seeing you out teaching Fox the ropes. I lost my dad last year at the ripe old age of 96. I miss him terribly, but I have so many great memories of spending time alone with him, fishing for trout and kokanee, hunting dove pheasant and chukar, hunting deer elk and bear. You are giving Fox memories he will treasure when he’s in his 90’s. Cheers!

Its so hard for kids to not get upset when they lose a fish. Ya gotta convince them, there is a reason that its not called catching. A lotta time ya don’t actually catch the fish. Sometimes they come off or they dont bite at all.

Fox is a natural. Reminds me of me. I caught my first chinook salmon probably when i was maybe 7 or 8 years old. No matter how old he gets, Fishing will be in his blood
