- I head out into the woods with my dog Monty and a couple of friends to spend a week in the wilderness. We cook up some delicious food and try catching some fish for dinner. The temperatures get pretty cold and we have some rain to deal with!

Ok, I HAD to pause the video to thank you for the slo-mo footage of the huge pike that got away!! I was (almost) as devastated as you were when the net came up empty after that fierce fight to (almost) land the fish; it felt a little better to me to at least catch a glimpse of the beast!!! @@penguins647 no there isn't. Bear attacks are pretty rare. They prefer to avoid humans, if possible.
@@penguins647 Maybe thousands have died during camping through the history of the world. But not very many from bear attacks, I suppose? I think maybe other humans are the worst culprits here.
I liked seeing you all cooking and sharing the meals without anyone being out for themselves and not sharing because they had to carry the food " like some other shows I watch." I love your solo trips but like seeing others on your trips to. Love it! Keep having fun!

The look of almost complete defeat with the monster Pike at the 57 minute mark makes you a bigger man than me. I would have probably pouted like a child for a solid 5 minutes after that.

Posa@#$&!!! The fish that got away...and it's on video! It was fun watching you, your friends, and the Wizard of Poofy-Butt Lane take on the wilderness. Mishaps and redemptions...The awkward mustache, the biggest fish I've seen caught on a lake--you needed a bigger net and bigger boat, the rain, the snow, the northern lights, and antics of all y'all made this one of the best views I've seen. The sounds of the family meese and the conversation with the loon were priceless. Perhaps you can explain the transporting of firewood via the canoes.
It's much easier to get firewood away from camp where no one searches than near the campsites where everyone scavenges for wood!
Love the channel and dogs. I’m an arborist and I never camp without my “silky zubat arborist handsaw.” It is razor sharp and easily transportable with its sheath. Anyway just a thought.

I'm also an arborist, and no handsaws compare with Silky Saws. Now, you'll pay a lot per blade, but nothing cuts as fast...
Monty just makes me smile every time I see him. I can be stressed or just frustrated and see him and feel so much better :)

You record some of the nicest scenery on top of the fun stuff. And Monty makes one fine companion and 2nd mate. You really have the knack for making 4 hours fly by (especially since it is like 92 degrees outside and a video from a cooler time in the year does wonders.
