- Ah questing in Classic. Isn't it great to come home after a busy day, have a snack, maybe a drink and load up Classic to level one of your alts until you get sick of it. Relaxing right? Well some of these times you just might come across some of the most annoying players in the game. I mean, if you're on a PvP realm it's already bad enough to have to watch your back all the time, but what happens when even players from your faction turn out to be your biggest obstacles. You can't even kill them! The infuriating experience of finding someone already at your questing spot, who's just too thickheaded and greedy to understand that it might be better to quest together, rather than act like some cool pro gamer edge-lord that can clear out the whole are himself and expecting every mob to be owed to him. God, those people need help!
But oh well. Once in a while you just might see some players like that greedily tag one too many mobs, which would then lead to their horrible demise. And at the end of the day, isn't that the sweetest experience? :)

The fact that the paladin didnt have enough dps to kill the ogre before the video ended hit me way too hard. Damage Per Millennium.

In my mind, the paladin, and the ogre he was killing, became buds after seeing a greedy warrior get mauled in front of them.
Paladin became a hunter and the orge became his pet
I was literally waiting for them to look at each other and shrug while he got beaten up. Cheered when it actually happened! 👍😁
Same then the play abandoned the quest and now has ogre friends

Huh I've ran into a lot of players like this mostly Mages. But when things goes side ways sometimes they're** the ones asking for a rez or heals.
groups of 2 get no exp bonus, so they would be having their EXP gain by having you in the group.
I cannot stand mages. They always grab as much as possible and get absolutely upset when you tag a mob they aggro even if you make sure to pull it from them.
And then half of the time because they killed everything at once you can be sitting there then suddenly surrounded by mobs due to respawning same time.
@@hurpdurpueruhur However, in a group, you can kill 2x as fast, don't have to rest or regain health/mana as often, and can complete your quest objectives that much faster due to less competition for mobs. Between kill rate and quest completions, you end up gaining xp up to 50% faster than going it alone.
"They are" or "They're" is correct. "Their" is not.
But mages level by aoe farming. They don’t gain anything by having others in the group; it’s just unfortunate that a lot of the best spots and quest hotspots too.

One time I joined a group with the Dungeon Finder. I died and instead of rezzing me, they just left me behind. Not a single word of chat was exchanged between any of them.
I think that's the moment WoW died for me, realizing that dungeons are easy enough that you don't need a full group, you can join one super easily because of the Dungeon Finder, and that you don't even need to communicate with members of the group to get quests done. It basically was a singleplayer game at that point and the community aspect had completely died.
Retail in a nutshell. Blizzard stopped thinking about game design and just started giving the most vocal feedbackers whatever they wanted without thinking.
"Levelling takes too long!"

"I want to be able to solo elite quests!"
"I want to get to endgame content!"

Marriage
I'm very new to WoW classic, only have been playing for 2 months. I play as a paladin and was struggle with a killing quest. Another player ran pass me while i'm fighting just to yoink the chest I was fighting for then run, he was like lvl 30 and i was only 15. I asked for help but all he did was running away. Then about 2 hours later, I got good gears and move to even harder quest just to see that same guy struggle to even stay alive, he then die and yell at me full caps for revive, but I just /laugh and be on my way.
What goes around, comes around, am I right?

Man, I can remember the rage I had back in vanilla when someone would take my kill and decline the invitation just to refuse to give me credit. You make some of the best machinima I've ever seen, Grim. So relatable, always! lol
Had a guy in ab threatening to report me for hacking my rogue for wearing mail (before the gear changes). I was a warrior.
Single-Minded Fury?
That was golden. Even if I don't play the game anymore I wish this would happen to all those guys that I asked/begged to party up with me but were acting like bots until you started stealing their mobs.
I was in deep south Winterspring last night, I came across another hunter and waved and said hi. Before I could say anything else he typed no. So I thought okay and just asked in world chat whether anyone else wanted 1 gold for any single fish or meat as my cat had gone red on loyalty. His loss was someone elses gain.
I just do not understand that line of thinking. WoW classic is meant to be a team up game unless you are in low level zones and are high level grinding for something.
It's an MMO, you are SUPPOSED to interact with the other players. No point in playing it if you want to be by yourself so much that you are rude to others.
Maybe dude just didnt have the shit to spare? Try not being such an entitled brat next time lol ppl dont play games to help YOU have a good time. You play to habe one yourself lol
Grim one of the rarest RUclipsrs that I instantly like without even watching content because I trust him to not disappoint me.
This one really hits home.
Finally in Barrens, doing a quest near the oil fields, it's the babysitting a goblin in a mech quest, some guy complains that I started the quest, abandon the quest hoping it'd reset the goblin, it didnt.
Few minutes go by, goblin respawns, guy either had an addon to autoaccept quests or spammed through it real fast, takes the quest and goes about his day while berating me for not only taking the quest without him at first, but that I'm also the bad guy for trying to reset the quest to do it as a party.
I always remembered Warrior being pretty rough, but I didn't expect the friendly fire.

This video is so true omg. I remember leveling in STV back then and saw a guy killing mobs I also needed for quest. I sent him a group invite so we can finish it faster, he declined and called me a noob who can't do anything solo. On top of that, he flexed on me by pulling 5 mobs at a time to prove his point how much I suck at the game apparently. Good times.

In reality, some of the comments are from ppl thinking they are the good guy, but are actually the bad guy.
Im more like the warrior. Unless its an elite quest or a lack of mobs im not gonna group up
I always accept party unless i am like 8/10 for my quest. I don't rush to max lvl, i enjoy leveling more than the end game content.

I like to solo. I'm really don't understand why people get so upset when you turn down their request to group. I've had this happen to me so many times already.
@@wilddesigns857 it’s an MMO. That’s why they get so upset. They came for the social experience. You solo farmers are going to get burned out after your first 60 grind and buy boosts the rest of your time playing until you inevitably quit because the game “has nothing to do”. You eliminated the main attraction for yourself.
I was encountering that kind of people, too lately and I absolutely love it when these guys take in more than they can swallow just so I don't get my mobs.

I was at that exact location.
Needed to kill the boss in the cave.
Had to kill a mob outside first. Ally runs past me and begins to hit the boss. I ask for invite but he ignores me. After some time where I just stand there and looking at him killing the boss. He kills it, turns around, looks at me. Laugh and then /rude at me....

Reason I stopped playing in Phase 2, 90% of WoW players are jerks like that.

I've been playing WoW recently for the first time, started on classic, ran into someone in Westfall that was doing this exact same shit with the Defias mages. It was especially annoying since I was a warrior and the mages would fuck me up solo.
If you're strictly 2h then yeah you don't get pummel until 38, but if you hold onto a 1h and shield most caater mobs can be really easy to kill.

Sharing a farming spot with another player tells so much about them. Many people realize that there is no constant need to be stepping on each other's toes and farming with these guys isn't too bad, but then you have the guys that will pop a swiftness pot to run from one side of the area to the other just to try and dot a mob that is standing right next to you xD

Faction-wide tagging was one of the best things WoW added for this very reason. As long as you get a hit in on a mob, you can also loot it, assuming the mob wasn't first tabbed by an enemy player (as well as other conditions I've never fully understood that sometimes grey out enemy mobs even if you share the same faction).
But some players are still douchebags and will try to burn an enemy before anyone else can get a hit. Me, on the other hand, I'll often wait for a nearby player to get a hit before finishing the enemy off. Sometimes I'll even just place a consecrate or something so I get a large group of enemies tagged, wait for the other player to get a few enemies tagged with an aoe or something, then burn them all down myself and we both end up winning.
People complain about retail, but there were many changes made that absolutely kick the shit out of the slog that is Classic. You really have to be in the masochistic mindset to appreciate the dated and frankly anti-cooperation mechanics vanilla had. Which, if you are, then great, but it's been tiresome for a long time to hear people complain about retail and then celebrate the backwards implementations vanilla had, as if either is completely flawless.

I know exactly what quest this is for.
In tanaris, for the ogre quests, there are 3 types of ogres you have to kill and there's no guarantee that all 3 types are up. Infact 1 of the 3 seems to only spawn 1 for every 10 of the other 2.
So you have to run around kill dozens upon dozens of the first two just to get 1 of the more "rare" ogres.
Most of the time people are just killing to get the others to spawn, so they could be killing for 45 minutes then a new person comes over and they ALWAYS kill the 1-2 finally spawn. Making you have to kill dozens upon dozens more of the ogres just to complete a simple quest of "kill these for me"
