Thank you. Short and to the point. Very concise. I was tryin to add slime to my new ebike and it comes with a tiny plastic tool to remove. I was able to see the flat part, but I was just not giving it enough force. No leverage with that tiny thing. Your video gave me the confidence I wasn’t going to break my valve stem.
Yeah man, I tried using the plastic SLIME brand, valve remover (the cap doubles as a remover tool) and it broke in 1/2 second. Super thin needle nose worked, thanks Live Free!
One of every kid's first tool in the toolbox years ago was a valve stem tool. Often they were seen as a cap that fit on the stem. That and a skate key solved most of the transportation needs. That was even before the tube repair kit with the patches and the glue and well before the chain link tool. If you needed a pair of needle nosed pliers, it probably meant you couldn't find the valve stem tool kept somewhere in the junk drawer... your family had a junk drawer, didn't it?
Sir, somehow only my right front and right rear’s valve stem core are shorter compare to left ones after changing new wheels. So it’s very hard to check air pressure with my gauge since valve stem cores are shorter and gauge cannot touch (or push) the core... How can i resolve this issue?!
You can try to "back out" the valve stem a turn or two..... to see if it raises the needle to the point you can use a pressure gauge to check or fill the tires air. SOMTIMES they are threaded in too far. Get a valve tool, or the needle nose plier trick shown here. Just don't remove it all the way... try 1/2 turn, then check....if still not working, try another 1/2 turn....
Nice. Thanks. I've got a non-tire 4 inch PVC pipe water tank application where I want to use these valves. I am wondering if possible to lube and squeeze in valves like this in from outside? Also wondering if will be possible later (when they go bad) possible to remove the entire valve (not just the core) using brute force by pulling on it from the outside as well? think there is a metal lip stop that? I think it will be possible.
Negative. The video is for the Schrader. Below is the difference between the two... www.google.com/search?q=presta+valve+schrader+valve&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjomJ6S9YP0AhWfPlkFHb_EB6wQ2-cCegQIABAC&oq=presta+valve+sch&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQARgAMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgYIABAIEB4yBggAEAgQHjoHCCMQ7wMQJzoECAAQQ1CGB1ijKWD3NGgAcAB4AIABugGIAccEkgEDMi4zmAEAoAEBwAEB&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=0oyGYejnIJ_95NoPv4mf4Ao&bih=782&biw=412&prmd=isvxn&safe=images#imgrc=znKFizekBXh4JM
Imagine, if you will, the possibility of being in a situation where you can't get to the auto parts store. Like say, for instance, oh i don't know... you had a flat tire. Crazy right? It sounds bonkers but you never know.
You can take time out of your day, pay your petrol for the trip, and pay the 4 bucks if you want if that stimulates you. We would rather walk to our toolboxes and grab the pliers without any stuffing around. So It aint "CHEAP", we're just not DUMB and RUDE. Have a nice day.
I've been getting even like this for 25 year's. They have to have it towed and the bead with need to be set again to be on the safer side. So it's at least a few hundred dollar repair
Wow, a 53 second video on a topic that only requires about a 53 second demonstration. Thanks!
That simple, most RUclipsr explain it more than 1 minutes, giving you a Like button becauss not wasting my time

Oh my god bro!!
Thank you. I've never appreciated a RUclips video more than this one right here. You have no idea how much this has just helped me.
I’m so happy now I can get back at my ex for all the shit she did to me without having to slash 😅
How do you get it out if that top grip is broken. What your doing is easy

I just needed one, remembered that my dad had just put the metal cap on an old rubber valve stem, works like a dream
Sound and to the point. That's how we Men like it.
Many Thanks!
👍
Mine wants to fly out super easy. How do I bop it back in correctly?
Would this work for mtb as well?
Just got new wheels and 3 are missing the “core” but I’m glad I found this video I thought I had to replace the whole stem THANK YOU
Nicely edited
i did the same and no air is coming out. what's the meaning of this?
I have a stuck valve in auto A/C that unthreads, but just won’t come out.
Thank you for this!
New subscriber just because you didn’t waste my time at all and you helped me thx

Thanks for tip, you'll reduce the life of the tube if yoy release the air abruptly 👍
Interesting, I never thought about that before. I’ll start letting the air out slower.
Thank you so much brother
Thank you! Extremely helpful
i just gained a knowledge point, thank you
👍
sweet, I have a faulty one on my pushbike
does this work on all valves? I am pulling and nothing gives. feels like it all one solid piece.
You twist counter-clockwise. It's threaded in.
So my valve core is stripped and I can’t find pliers small enough to fit all the way into there
“The flat spot” you grabbed is broken off of my valve core, what do I do to get it out now?

Yes you can.
I owe you a beer sir, you’ve saved me a new tyre.
Thanks a lot man❤
Big salute very useful
yep!
Thank good man
top lad. thanks mate.
people will finally learn to stop parking in front of my driveway
Thankyou now that stupid person will never park his bike in our house😂
I dont have that kind of pliers
Why didn’t he talk for 12 minutes like very other vid?
I used to have a valve cap that had the "tool" built on top. Flip it over and unscrew the core.
They are still available and dirt cheap, although they probably weigh about a gram more than a plastic cap!
sweet ima go take some of these valve stems off my ex' car. she isnt gonna need them anymore 😂
Or just go buy the 15$ tool and have it for the rest of your entire life
This presta not Schrader?!! 🤔

ARE YOU TOO CHEAP TO BUY A $ 4.00 4- IN-1 TOOL TO REMOVE THE CORE WITHOUT DAMAGING IT?
