#YuGiOh #HowToPlay #Guide Игры
*Hey guys! This was my first time trying out a video in this style. Shout out to our editor for really bringing it to life! Hopefully it helped a lot of you guys out if you want to find a way to play Yu-Gi-Oh! Links for everything is in the description! And feel free to drop any helpful information I missed!* 😁
Hey Paul! Let me start off by saying I loved the video. I consider myself pretty avid in both MD and TCG, but you still got me excited just for those, and Duel Links which I haven't played in like 3 years.
I will say, I think this style is better suited for Team APS. High energy and quick to the point to get it across. I would recommend keeping APS Plus Videos more slow paced and discussion based, allows for better understanding and digestion of the material you are presenting.
Main thing, you keep putting in the work to improve. The fans love to see it. Keep up the good work every at Team APS
Amazing edits 🤩 keep your videoz coming brother i love the content on this channel 🙌 👏 ❤️
I really think videos like this are great, and you covered enough areas that hopefully it will be useful info for quite some time.
The informative and introductory content is maybe not the target videos for the core audience, but it's great for new people which I think yugioh has a hard time reaching out to.
I think you should continue this type of video from time to time.
@@StefanDillandMarcRIP Thank you so much! I plan on doing these here and there just to introduce the game to more people. How deep they go past this is up to them, but I want to be the gateway.
Really fresh style, great vid for newcomers
Just a suggestion, but I'd really love to see you guys recreate duels from the anime with the characters' modern decks. Some iconic duels like yugi vs pegasus, jaden vs yubel, yusei vs kalin would be great to see!
They could each select an Anime Character and use their Modern Version in a massive "What if?..." Tournament. It could be rather cool..
Noted!
They have older videos like 4 years ago that were done in the same fashion
Personally I would like to see some nice anime match ups of decks that have the same power level
@@TeamAPS Agreed. I would like to see a modern duel between Pegasus and Kaiba
I found a japanese channel that already does that. Don't really remember the name but it was really cool to see
As a Magic player, I find it absolutely fascinating how Yugioh just… doesn’t have other formats. The closest thing it has is Duel Links/Rush Duels, which work by fundamentally altering the rules of the game instead of what cards are available. Commander does have somewhat different rules, but a lot of what makes it fundamentally different are the deckbuilding restrictions and multiplayer nature.
GOAT format is a thing, but an unofficial one and one that is explicitly trying to never change the overall rules and available cards, more analogous to MtG fan formats like Premodern and Old School which exist only in contexts where people are dissatisfied with the direction the game is going.
And Yugioh’s focus on archetypes means Limited formats are impossible, with the closest thing being the video games constraining your access to cards as you progress.
Actually they develop other game modes they just don't support it after it comes out
Actualy there is somwhat popular fan formant named "trinity" that you might wana look in to and Omega sim even has the format under defult formats to pick when you host.
@@piens51 Oh hey that actually looks really cool, I like the idea of playing a larger deck getting you access to more powerful cards.
@@hayokamikaze5896master duel events are pretty much new game mode , we have dice gambling and 2024 new year burn ftk format which is very unhinged, chaotic and fun.
Not a competitive format of course.
Very informative and well edited. I loved the No More Heroes music at the tail end. Whoever is picking these tracks has absolutely patrician tastes and deserves a raise.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you Paul and co. for making this video. This should make it easier for new/returning people to play YuGiOh. I'm going to show my friend this video
I played back in the day like pre yata ban. Team aps got me back into it after a good 8 years or so . Building my favorite archetype madolches and my blue eyes metamorphosis goats.
Thank you for bringing this nostalgia filled hobby back into my life
I've been thinking about getting back into Yu Gi Oh for the first time since like... 2006? (I remember having the Fury from the Deep and Dragon's Roar structure decks), and this video was a huge help!
It'd also be super cool to see videos outlining some popular archetypes, their playstyles, and recommended ways to start building them, as a way to help us YGO noobs put together a deck we can take to our LGS with pride.
Incredible video! Even though I already knew about these ways to play I was enthralled enough to sit through the whole thing because it was made so well! Keep up the good work guys!
This is a well put out vídeo. I have a friend that's trying to get back to Yu-Gi-Oh. He's been buying cards at random, but doesn't know where to properly start. I'll show him this.
Plus you use No More Héroes music here! That makes this vídeo a million times better.
yall are just pumpin videos out! thank you!
I actually loved this video. Very informative for a fossil like me and generally was fun and looked well. Easy to listen to, visually easy, appealing. Loved this
I'm getting back in thanks to Team APS. I'm actually using Legacy of the Duelist to relearn everything and shake the rust off. It'll probably never happen but I would love to see some Skull Servant support cause I have a lot of fond memories playing that.
Every couple of years or so I realize I loved Base-to-5DS Yugioh and wanna attempt getting back into it, and I stumble onto your channel every time. You offer a lot of great info for where I should start looking and I appreciate that, but then I get into a game against someone setting up 50 links and pendulums and one-shotting me on the first turn and I go back to resenting what the game has become; then go do something else instead.
This GOAT format sounds interesting though... Would love to see if there's a dedicated community for it I could explore.
My friends got me back into Yugioh via Master Duel and it's been so fun relearning everything, building decks, and playing with all my friends from our college Yugioh club and it's thanks to watching videos about the game that lead me to y'alls channel (love all the theme duels and skits y'all do)
Thanks we really appreciate it! It's crazy how may ways there are to enjoy this game
It's so rare to see a digital card game these days where you can enjoy the game and get virtually every card available without actually having to spend money for it. This is where duel link and master duel shine most I think. It's refreshing to see such an honest gameplay loop.
Good luck getting virtually every card for free. Impossible in duel links btw.
@@CatPhil maybe. But I still have a better chance than every pay to win game out there. Though I prefer master duel personally.
Edopro exists it is fun and really competitive there, you have access to every single card for free and the customization is up to you by changing files, every new card added they add it to the game and code it, it is automatic so you don't need to do the math
@@mwael3600 oh neat. I may check that one out some time.
@@jamielishbrook2384
Also it supports mobile and pc
It works for 1 RAM or above so it can work on the weakest
It also has Anime cards that are broken that Konami fear to print, also it has almost all alternative artworks, this is all for free
Hey Paul! Love watching ur channel and seeing all the yugioh content out there. From house hold duels using speed duel cards and card packs to using only spells for a deck. I am writing this comment because u forgot 1 gaming platform online for yugioh fans called dueling nexus. If u end up reading this thank u for taking the time to read this and please keep making more amazing videos
This is a great guide. I've been playing Master Duel on and off since that came out to get caught up on all the post GX era mechanics, this'll be a good reference if I want to expand how I play
This was a really nice and well-made video. Yugioh is clearly a game many people love, have loved in the past, and want to love again. Unfortunately there is just a pretty big whiplash for players trying to catch up and not that many official avenues to even out that learning curve unless you go out of your way to research things
Not to mention far too overwhelming to new players
I’ve tried once or twice because I watched the original anime using both physical cards and master duel but the game is over complicated, too reliant on 27 card combos with each card equaling as much text as the bible and who’s effects are as confusing as modern fnaf lore
Thanks so much for this! I found your channel through the video you did with The Professor, and came to check out what Yu-Gi-Oh! Is about (have never played before)
Checking out Master Duel today, and it seems really fun and fairly easy to get into.
The editing is so fancy! Great video!
I played yugioh years ago back when the blue eyes packs first came out. I haven't played yugioh in years. Master duel got me back into the game
Love all the new videos keep it up doing great just built fluffals so much fun! 😂
Just started at Yu Gi Oh so i just have to thank you so much for this video it realy helped me a lot!Again Thank you!
i like that you are trying new stuff ! love your channel! I watch every new video
I’m a Pokémon fan but this video popped up on my recommendations and I gotta say you’re a pretty good RUclipsr!
Hello TeamAPS! So the last Yu-Gi-Oh! series that I watched as a kid was GX. The elemental heroes are the last ones that I watched and like. Everything after is just killing the joy for me with the complexity of it, although I know the rules about Synchro monsters. But still, I want to get back in the game and THANK GOD that there is a community that still favors the old school Yu-Gi-Oh!. The Goat Format is what I am looking for. So perfect!
Anyways, I wanted to say that your channel is my favourite Yu-Gi-Oh! channel, alongside SimplyUnlucky and his unboxing videos. You TeamAPS guys are absolutely fantastic, I love your Reloaded decks duels and in general big, big fan of how you present everything in such a simple way. Best of luck to you, thanks for reviving the love for Yu-Gi-Oh! in a lot of us who left the Yu-Gi-Oh! Universe a long time ago.
The best way to play Yugioh is by mimicking Team APS duels. No strategy. Just copy the same deck and plays and see how far you can get 👍
You can also play Forbidden Memories. After I re-discovered Yugioh through this channel, it was the game that made me fall in love with the franchise in 2021 ❤
That and Duelist of the Roses
yeah no, don't need to play boring games based on lame dm era
Speed Duel is my personal favorite
Also I'm surprised you didn't mention yugioh Neuron
Great video, as always. I love the editing! Takes a lot of time and skill to time sequences with a script, and it does bring the visual aspect to the topics. I do like that you included Goat Format since it is helpful for new players to start at, but i wonder of you'll do a video on what other formats are out there, such as Edison format. I know E3 Yugioh is the main guy for Edison content, but it would be cool to talk about it to a broader audience. You could also touch on the more niche formats like Deckmaster format, I know the rules for Deckmaster are...well, skewed, but you can mix it up with your own creativity.
I was not expecting the No More Heroes theme, N.M.H., at 7:04. That made me happy with the video. xD
I love the no more heroes music well done
great effort! thanks man!
Thanks, I wanna start playing and this helps
These are all great options and truly my favorite one that I’ve played over and over and that is Legacy of the Duelink Link Evolution..it’s not as awesome as Master Duel, but I get my fix lol
Speed duels is my personal favorite format. Easy for new players and has a fun and diverse competitive format too! I personally think more people should give it a try
yawn MR 5 is the ONLY way to play alongside using new cards
I bought some packs for the youth club I work for, they’ve gotten obsessed. Though I keep mixing up the OG rules and speed duel rules.
100% agree. I wish we’d get Rush Duel in the West tho 😢
I got SO HYPE when I realized you were playing music from No More Heroes!
Boosting the algorithm. Great video guys
Thank you I did not know you could see the nearest card shop on the official website for IRL games 😮
I'd recommend the unofficial ones like edo pro or dawn of a new era. Master duel may be the most mainstream and aesthetic. But even though I'm not competitive it just annoys me not having access to all the new cards or having to grind and grind just to unlock cards and then grind even more if you change your mind what direction you want to take your deck in. And then coming up against cards that are banned just ruins the immersion
How does having to grind to buy more cards ruin the immersion? Its exactly what you would do irl. Dont get the cards you want? Work for another month until your next paycheck and then test your luck again. Only MD is a lot more convenient and in some ways forgiving.
@@allarian8726 I was saying people having banned cards does, like I said i'm only a casual but people having 3 maxx c's every game when its banned just makes it apparent to me that this is not the 'official' format. But theres not many forbiddens nowadays it's not a huge deal breaker I guess. And I don't buy them irl mainly for that reason. I'm just saying I definitely recommend edo pro on top of master duel at least. I like master duel for the ranked feature but I spend way more time on edopro because being able to adjust your deck and test it is super crucial. But ultimately playing with the newest cards too
@@allarian8726 you buy singles you don't open packs
@@allarian8726 You play on a different banlist, best of 1 only, not even having all cards.
Your editing has improved so much over the years, great vid as always!
Thanks a ton!
Great video
I would strongly recommend Tag Force series
Specially for someone who's Anime fan
I'm glad I've discovered it
Keep on keeping on
I recently got back into Yu-Gi-Oh after not playing since 2009 and been playing Master Duel. Been getting my ass kicked do bad but it's so much fun to get back into dueling. Still trying to figure out the different types of decks and which one is the best
You can easily Google best current decks to make right now
Super helpful thank you
I starting playing yo gi oh last year and this is the first time I have ever seen a video that tries to help newer players, this would have helped a lot when I started, maybe do videos that talk about the differnet summoning mechanics and rules? there is no where to learn these things for new players.
Very good quality vid!!!!
very helpful, great video
I love this channel, the rare hunters series is really fun and exciting. I would love to see y'all duel Dotodoya.
I've actually dueled against him once in a video. Maybe again in the future!
Tried playing master duel after stepping away for about 15 years and couldn't handle it. The opponent took 5 mins first turn and ended the game. The games now seem to have become extremely fast paced and lack a lot of what made it fun when it launched originally
I use to play yu gi oh In the early 2000’s. I think I grew out of it a couple years after the Egyptian god cards and tribute summoning was introduced(loved that time of yu gi oh by the way, I had a slifer the sky dragon deck). I still have all of my cards stored away somewhere(might sell them). Anyways, I got back into duel links recently(currently rocking a blue eyes and obelisk 20 card deck) let’s just say I always have either a bunch of blue eyes white dragon on the field or Obelisk the tormentor. Ton of fun!
I tried Master Duel recently but it didn’t hit like Duel Links…plus I didn’t feel like restarting and having to recollect 100’s of cards.
Duel links to me is still the best experience. I’m not much into pvp I like making decks and unlocking anime characters. I might try competitive again someday.
Recently got back into it from all videos on youtube like team aps and, dezeff and theduellogs. Been having a lot of fun with master duel and duel links. Debating on buying the real cards again but I sold my binder of cards thinking I wasn't going to back into it so I kind of don't want to.
Yessss !!! The music in master duel is amazing, I put it on in the background while me and my girlfriend play the physical card game 😊
Maybe add Yugioh the Destiny Line as well, i would recommend those as well, there is also great way to play with friends. They are still to this day playable on windows 10 and they are quiet good. Also there is a tutorial you would not like to miss out on. All in all great game line in my opinion.
I just learned about five minutes ago that my firekings got support so now I might just come back haha thank you for this video
Master Duel brought me back after not playing since 2005. The only issue with me playing in real life is Master Duel basically plays for me. Meaning half the time I wouldn’t even know when cards could be activated and such. For example some times I don’t even know a monster I’m my graveyard has an effect until MD shows me that yellow outline on my GY lol I know it just takes more time and practice, and probably reading all the text on cards would help 😂
Keep up the great work
I enjoy the digital landscape of master duel. I can learn different play styles at my own pace while not having to break the bank. Plus the text on the cards are so much easier to read for me. Plus once I'm ready I can go into ranked mode with a deck. As of today, I'm platinum rank 3 with my updated code talker firewall dragon deck. 🙂
Master duel has gotten me back into yugioh. Hopefully I can make my own IRL deck soon.
Very helpful informationlove the graphics are awesome. I can tell that you put a lot of work into it. All in all nice video. by the way what program did you use to make all these effects?
I would love to know.
Very nice video!
As someone who grew up watching the show and only played the game card from the first generation it's very intimidating trying to learn and play now like holy crap I wasn't around during synchro or any of the other stuff
Very well done video.
I started “playing” yugioh 2 days ago and I’ve found it hard to understand how a lot of concepts work because there really isn’t any tutorial that feels organic enough to help answer my questions. You guys got me into yugioh and I got my other friends into yugioh were all learning together and better resources would definitely help newcomers get into the hobby because y’all have some of the biggest coverage on this platform
For anyone asking what the best simulator is, i would say Omega because it has a very large community and stays very up to date on the cards in the tcg and ocg. It also is absolutely amazing production wise as well.
I'm pretty new to getting back into the game, but Untap is a pretty great place to play and it's free to check out and build decks. The player base is pretty low, though.
It was weird hearing the No More Heroes OST in this video. That game's soundtrack goes hard.
I'm just getting into yugioh from magic. I dabbled a bit when I was a kid but had no idea what I was doing lol. But I wanted to try something new so I picked up 3 of the cyberstrike structure decks to build cyber and cyberdark dragons and learn to play.
But! I have an idea I'm stealing from magic. Dunno if yugioh has this it prolly does but draft! They're reprinting the old sets this year and figured I'd get my hands on some booster boxes and draft with some friends. Then make a cub after with the cards so we can draft old school whenever we want :)
I also wanna try the new trap tricks structure deck. Never heard of em and they look adorable ssoo why not? Lol.
I like how you show the cards themselves
My personal favourite feature in Yu-Gi-Oh Duel links is when you play as a Yu-Gi-Oh arc 5 character you can altar the field with pendulum zone outside spell and trap zone not many players use it but I certainly do on the occasion calls for it
I just wish the other two missing four-dimensional dragons were introduced to Yu-Gi-Oh dule links along with their characters that goes with them starving venom Fusion dragon and clear wing synchro dragon talk about way over due
Something I think would be really cool to see is you guys combining random archetypes to see if you can make brand new roguish decks and/or taking so called "low-tier" archetypes and finding different ways to make them more playable
Noticed this channel because of tolarian community college and his episode with you guys. I've never been very interested in yugioh, but cross duel looks interesting. Would it be possible to play that format in paper as well, and would you guys ever consider gameplay of the format? I do like playing 4 player free for all a lot and watch 4 player commander is fun as well. Would be interesting how 4 player free for all would translate.
legacy of the duelist link evolution is still my favorite yu gi oh game.
Ive been on summer break from teaching job and have duck out my old packs and playing a single elimination vs myself. Nothing's changed, i used to play Monopoly vs myself as well.
Ive made three new decks with just pen, paper, and scissors with card sleeves instead of buying packs.
There is also dmvr which is more a community game but its yugioh in vr which is really fun :)
I just wish they would add a Goat Format Mode
When Duel Links came out I felt that magic again, but now with links and stuff it's just fancy solitaire
Same with Master Duel + there you have negate hell also :(
Still great and informing video :)
Its not possible to play irl nowadays. There so many card effects that have complicated interactions with each other that if you dont have a computer telling you when to activate something, you wont be able to keep track
Another great online fan made option is yugioh Dueling Nexus. It has every card, great graphics, and a bunch of other cool stuff.
i used to play with my friends back in time using my Kaiser Glider deck, but nowadays theres no way that deck can work, and i don't want to play with other deck, so i just retired with it.
Omega + Master Duel has been really fun for me. Especially now that Omega has an iOS version!
I play goat format in duelingbook every day because I'm retiring the current format so goat and rush duel format are for me
I love duel links and it actually made me watch season 0 of yu gi oh and rewatch my childhood anime Zexal
6:58 Actually have a theory on how they can fix that talking about that learning curve. If they create duel bot. And this way it can teach players. not only how to use their deck but It can also teach them stuff that That would take most people time to figure out how to do. For an example when to play a specific card or how to play it.That's just something I think would help master duel
You can test your deck in solo mode. That learning curve will always be there and it is normal.
The problem is that Yugioh has powercrept to a degree where the game has become a complicated cycle of being pretty much as close to OTK's. A lot of the old spirit is lost here.
Very good video can you make:
Albaz strike vs Spirit Charmers
Saga of Blue eyes vs Crystal Beast
Ice barrior vs Rokket Revolt
Saga of Blue eyes vs Spirit Charmers
i play the old psp games on my phone and im happy with that
Before i start watching, i just want to say that im forever loyal to my nicely adquired copies of portable games that i keep as backup and play when comutting
As someone who stopped playing during synchro era i thought i could never play again but someone gave me a masterduel account with sky striker. After a duel or 2 i got my groove again😅
I started playing duel link in 2019, but the updates really ate my space. Maybe I'll download it again
I’m relearning how to play yugioh via legacy of duelist link evolution (however idk if its on the eshop anymore) on switch i’m having loads of fun i’m learning the new summoning mechanics and reliving my childhood through the story mode 😅
dulets of the roses is one of the best yu gi oh games iv ever played
How's Omega? Out of all the options, it looks the best asthetic wise (imo) along with being a true sim. Super interested. I love master duel as well but honestly, I just make a new account every time I want to play a diff deck. It's way too hard to get cards after the initle rush of stuff.
dueling nexus is pretty good if you want a quick website version that's automatic
Hawaii doesn’t have card shops where they do local tournaments.
Sadly…
Y'all should go live on duel links or masterduel
No More Heroes theme, a man of culture.
I have a question, does the Switch game "dawn of the battle royale!!" has all the cards that were made until the game's release? Or this game only have the "new stuff" made for the Sevens/Rush Animes?
7:01 ‘No More Heroes’ dance party
You guys are the best
I noticed you didn’t say anything about battles of legend crystal beast or magnificent mavens, or amazing defenders, so what’s the difference in those sets compared to darkwing blast and hyper photon
Been looking back into Yugioh on a whim after falling off back as a kid when the Egyptian Gods were the new hotness. Definitely can't get with the modern gimmicks around these ten minute long link-synchro-xyz combos in Master Duel, so I've been trying and enjoying Duel Links. Faster, simpler, lots of PvE content that saves me from the embarrassment of going up against people who've never put it down. Gonna have to look into goat format, sounds like it could be my sort of gig.
