That is awesome. Those cables last about 10-15 years. It is almost worth it to keep a new one laying around. cheap plastic.

my 1981 C30 cable is 20-1/2 inches but the only ones i find are 19 or 25-1/2 inches ?

you might have to make a little custom extender for the shorter cable. Some kind of adjustment where it goes on the intake / carb area. let me know if you find a solution !!

Jeg’s has a braided universal cable on sale for 18 bucks rn and it comes with everything you need.

they make the piece plastic so it will break eventually. i used a small piece of plumbers tape to hold it, when it broke in the mountains. the cable is cheap enough though. Just replace and forget it for awhile.

Good video, thank you, I just got my cable today so I’ll be doing this at some point tomorrow on an 85 K10. Doesn’t it seem a little long? I’m sure it probably has a bunch of different vehicles that it’s used for but still, that big loop doesn’t seem like the best application, just bitchin’ a little, thanks again
