Arroworthy classics are my go to these days and i still like to use my Staalmeesters occasionally. I used to swear by Hammies but they went crap a few years ago. If you're ever after a decent bristle brush, try Staalmeesters range of bristle, absolutely lovely to use.
Hi, love your show! If you’re ever in Alaska, please look me up, I have 2 rolls wallrock 600 and paste, can’t find anyone to help get this stuff up over my sheetrocked bedroom walls! No one has even heard of it here. I bought it on eBay. You are really good at what you do. Thank you
Good video,I have been self employed for years, this past year I’ve been working for the Royal Mail 20 hours a week and doing my own private work but I’ve recently been offered a full time painter post for housing executive and I’m in 2 minds on what I should do.
Love watching your videos buddy try to follow your advice when doing diy Just brought brushes from Aldi and Lidl thought I’d give them a try I’m not a professional so please don’t criticise to much ❤
@@daveharris1095 thank you, some good brushes can be found anywhere. Sometimes a cheap brush can work fine depending what your painting. Thanks for watching
Personally i use both mainly hamilton perfection pure bristle some really old hamilton congo and a few wall brushes and dusting brushes. In terms of synthetics i am mainly purdy, a mix of monarch elite and a few firmer monarch pro extra. My bigger pure bristle brushes are years old and perfectly worn in, they are real old freinds. I dont find synthetics in oil clean out very well, however a synthetic in eaterbased cleans up and cuts in easier than a pure bristle.
Nowadays you need a wider range of brushes as viscosity, flow out and drying times vary so much. For me I still prefer Hamilton perfection pure bristle for oil based paints. Water based trim paints I think Oldfields take some beating. Arroworthy Rembrandts are great cutting brushes. Frustrating thing is painting narrow edges with synthetic brushes as the stock splits apart as per your video.
I love Perdy and hamilton wouster is crap along with anything bought out of the likes of B and Qless. mind you I've never busted a synth in oil I love pure hamilton bristle for those tasks:)
Painting 13 varnished doors. Using BIN and no way am I using anything other than cheapest brush to throw out after a few doors. Meths does clean the brush but does not return good brushes to z quality finish.
Angled synthetic brush and floetrol with water based paints is the best way I've found to get great results

Is any chance you can teach how to repair the crack brick walls?
microfibre roller sleeves do they hold more paint mate than normal type
@@ericthekingthekingtheking4842 no they don't. More controlled for smooth surfaces fine Finnish. Thanks
Rate the Premier Brooklyn brushes then? I might buy one this weekend.
I bought a 3” one…..lot of bristle lost to start with…..back to Purdy for me I’m afraid 👍
Don’t you will be disappointed
