Fun fact, when my college roommates and I went to look at TO's house, there was a Vesuvius Orange Range Rover in the garage.
Ofcourse there was. Why not. I never understood why people with the means to buy almost any car their heart desires, they all buy the same cars. I mean there are thousands of options and they just buy the same stuff. Keeping up the Jones's.

Worked for police impound once.it was fun. But whenever we towed a Rover nobody could touch it and it had to go to the Pasadena dealership.unless it was impounded.Then the dealership may come pick it up.sucked

I saw the title and said, “that sounds like an Ed-level story.” Though wrong, I was not disappointed.
I slept many nights in my Corvette because I had spent all of my money in the said Corvette... (Just to be clear, I had a home, I'm not that dumb, but I couldn't afford hotels or motels :) ).
The lt1 c4 is made in a way that the shower rest and the trunk are leveled with each other. It's actually pretty comfortable to sleep in those, and I'm 6'2... (Granted that you sleep in a feotal position to begin with)

Oh YEAH!!! 16hr marathon State of the Union, "nod-off" diplomacy whereby President Bolian TALKS other heads of state into a coma, Veep Rabbit wakes them up with a well-placed, better-delivered dirty joke, AirForce-1 gets painted but takes the whole term of his presidency to get finished, thinly-veiled anecdotes about how leaders from Africa don't *quite* deserve to be viewed as sovereign heads of state (because their american ancestors don't deserve to have nice cars), etc. Put Rabbit on the top part of that ticket and I'd consider it. Problem with either ticket is that the VP's job is to sort of not talk.
Sounds better then sleeping in a 73' Corvette in an abandoned gas station in the mountains of Virginia and then the following day swapping out the rear end in the same lot with only the tools we brought. Those were the days.

That Truck SUV conversion reminds me of a Jeep Grand Cherokee I saw( with a similar conversion) in the duPont Registry years ago that I always wanted. Now you can go to the dealer and buy a NEW Jeep pickup but 20 years ago that was unheard of
You could get the pickup conversion for the Wrangler years ago.

My Touareg has 131k on it now and every day I walk into my garage I wonder if this gonna be the day I end up with a 4K dollar repair bill. Hell, the tires only cost me 1700 bucks and a tire pressure sensor is only 450 a piece, how bad could it be? Gorgeous vehicle, though.

As soon as I seen the title I knew it had to be Doug... just about anything to close the deal. It's ok bro I once did what was suppose to be a 4hr trip to delivery a new car(couldn't transport with timeframe) ended up turning into a 12hr trip + ran out of gas twice(my math/mpg/miles calulations were a bit off)+ got a mini when it was all said and done(apearantly my GSM renegociated the deal while I was in transit) from a $1400 payday to a $200 flat :-(
Years ago, I slept in the back of my Celica GT driving from WI-->FL when I hit my wall in Georgia. There's no way to get comfy in a sports-car. Should'a taken my Continental, in hindsight. 😕

My friends band was playing in Hollywood and we 6 nutjobs including the band! stuffed into his 240z. Until we got pulled over. The cop made us pile out like a bunch of circus clowns then had us sit on a curb lined up like Felons.fuk. I hate that. The cop made us walk. We were only 2 blocks away .

Here I was totally believing Doug about this business not being all that glamorous when in walks "an aging rocker chick." In the words of William Jefferson Clinton: "Sha-weeet!"
Hours of Service really do be like that sometimes. Damn things are there to help keep us from falling asleep at the wheel of these 80k lbs guided missiles, though, so there is that... on a side note, elogs actually aren't that bad. I WILL miss the AOBRD I've been using once my company is forced to "upgrade" me to an ELD, though... more shit you can get away with when it comes to fixing your logs after making a mistake when it comes to an AOBRD than what an ELD allows. FMCSA regs are what they are, though, and the deadline for that particular final rule will come along just like tax day: whether I like it and I'm ready for it or not.
SIDE NOTE: most sleeper berths have 2 bunks... so why the hell was there no room for you on the sleeper without spooning the driver?!
