I feel like Voldemort has more raw power by a small margin, but Grindelwald has more skill, experience and knowledge.
In a 1v1 at their primes Grindelwald would crush Voldemort in a duel
Nah voldemort is just more knowledged of the dark arts but grindelwald was exceptional in all aspects of magic and the elder wand made him even more powerful
Lovely video! Approved by Headmistress McGonagall
Not watched it yet but pretty sure Grind would wipe the floor with Voldy and his Horcruxes.
I disagree
1v1 Vold wins army vs army Grind wins
Its just stated Voldemort is stronger
@@killcount4750you have been s*cking voldy's D everywhere in the internet.. you gotta be reading the books you fking idi0t
i feel like grindelwald was stronger because h relied on more advanced spells where as voldermort only used 1
Grindelwald 🪄🧙
This is a great video just the clips are kinda low quality
I feel as though Grindelwald has read his Art of War, Riddle, not so much - he overlooks and underestimates too much in magic and too many of his enemies to get the overall jump on Grindelwald. I feel as though Grindelwald may have perused Niccolo Machiavelli's The Prince, whilst he was at it. Grindelwald understands that you have to BRING people with you in an endeavour such as world domination, hence his party trick with the Qilin, be SEEN to be rightous and true - Riddle relying on fear has no longevity, thus shown, too much resistance, on too many fronts.
So even matched in a duel, spell for spell, even if Grindelwald WASN'T the mightier Wizard, Riddle isn't going to defeat someone so wise to what makes others...tick. Riddle brought a stick to an all out G_n fight...
Grindelwald was known as "the wizard who terrorized Europe".
And it wasn't by giving speeches and talking nicely that he "terrorized" Europe: it was by destroying buildings, causing fires in cities, and committing mass massacres of both wizards and muggles.
Grindelwald had an innate talent for persuasion. But what good is having such power of persuasion and convincing if it doesn't serve your ultimate purpose? Since you cannot hide what you truly are: a genocidal maniac with no regard for life, no self-control, and unstable.
How can you go to Paris to try to bring more people to your cause by talking nicely, and just because some aurors ruined your meeting, you get angry and try to burn all of Paris? LOL, killing thousands of muggles and wizards in the process. What you'll achieve is that people will be terrified of you, stay away from you, and all the ministries of magic in Europe will want your head.
This can be seen subtly and symbolically with Queenie Goldstein, who believed Grindelwald's narrative and joined him, only to later discover how sadistic Grindelwald really is, and end up abandoning him.
And so with the others: At the end of the movie, Grindelwald was exposed to the whole world for what he really is; apart from being a liar, he is also a dark wizard of the worst kind, for murdering and, worse still, practicing necromancy on such a pure creature as the Qilin, in order to deceive everyone in his quest to take control of the world. And just like that, in the blink of an eye, he lost all the support he gained in his campaign and found himself in a worse situation than before. Now he's on the run again.
Grindelwald lost his war against the wizarding world because he was unable to hide that, for all practical purposes, he is nothing more than a well-dressed Voldemort. And that, in his particular case, is counterproductive, since in order to maintain his power, he needs to keep his followers deceived with that image of "nobility". Whereas Voldemort does not need to deceive anyone to maintain his power, since he does not present himself with a double face. His followers know how he is.
Ive always felt like Voldemort is...but...I see Grindelwald as what Dumbledore would be like if he went "dark". Seeing as I think Dumbledore is the most powerful wizard of the 3(and of all time most likely) I think with my own logic id have to go with Grindelwald. Horcruxes are OP though so in the long run Voldemort wins I guess?
Grindelwald most likely would realize quite fast that Voldy is using horcruxes and he most likely could track them down and destroy them
i dont know
I think Voldemort was slightly more powerfull but Grindewald was smarter therefore more dangerous
I love me some Voldemort, but I'm going to give it to Grindel in a 60/40 split.
Grindelwald used Protego Diabolica there, not Fiendfyre, although he can do both spells easily.
voldemort would use his snake to kill Grindelwald
As for me, tom is the most evil dark wizard while gellert is more powerful
Voldytort has bit more raw power but Grindelwald is more skilled and has more knowledge (considering he understand things like love unlike voldytort) also Fiendfire isnt uncontrollable since Grindelwald literally controls it in that movie.....
Absolutely not just based on Dumbledors fights with them and his statements
Dumbledore >>> Voldemort
Grindelwald >>> Voldemort
Voldemort failed conquer a school
Grindelwald > Voldemort
But both are powerful
Grindalwald would make short work of voldy moldy
Grinderwald would have won the Duel Against Voldemort of Two Reasons only.1 He was more powerful than Lord Voldemort and Hade master all The curses And Spells That Voldemort could And even more than Voldemort could And That Says That Grinderwald could even read Minds like Voldemort could do. And Grinderwald could even close Down His own Mind To Pepepal to Hide His True Attention from The Exakt Same Thing That Snape could do.witch Lord Voldemort could not do.
And 2 Grinderwald could See in To The Future and would Then Have the Aventege over Voldemort in their Duel To See Voldemort Attacks From Miles away 😎
Voldemort is the most powerful and dangerous dark wizard of all time stated by Jk Rowling and pottermore end of discussion.
Grindelwald will destroy Voldemort in the battle
To say that Grindelwald is more powerful than Voldemort is to literally go against the books. Voldemort is numerous times stated to be the most powerful, most dangerous and most feared Dark Wizard of all time. Dumbledore even surmised that Voldemort's knowledge of magic may be more extensive than any wizard alive. And this was with Grindelwald still alive.
It's literally in the books.
yea a book not really well written, entirely based on kids fantasy which does not make much sense from any aspects, if it weren't for the movies.
@@jacksparrow4628 What does it matter how well it is or isn't written or what its target demographic is? It's literally the source material. If one ignores the parts they don't like about it, they might as well be debating over fan fiction.
Book only states Voldemort was the most dangerous and had gone further in the dark arts. That doesnt mean Grindelwald wasnt still the stronger wizard, as he not only was a well rounded wizard but was wise enough to not delve into some of the things Voldemort did. This is not to take away from Voldemort's successes such as bringing back an army of inferi that even Grindelwald failed to do. But it can be said that Voldemort stands on the shoulder of giants. He was a specialist, who, when looking at only that particular field is probably the best. But as a wizard, he falls a shade short of Grindelwald.

GOF: The most powerful Dark Wizard in a century
DH: #1 on the list of most dangerous Dark Wizards of all time
OotP: Knowlwdge of magic perhaps more extensive than any wizard alive (stated by Dumbledore)
The above statements quite firmly place Voldemort ABOVE Grindelwald in terms of strength and magical knowledge.
What you're saying about Grindelwald is conjecture, not based on canon.
@@budjettivaje8338 arguably all of those are also conjecture since i highly doubt there is actually way to measure who is more powerful...... also Voldy was way way bigger deal in England than Grindelwald so of course in England they say Voldemort is the most powerful.... and dumbledore can be wrong too.....
Grindelwald win
Mads looked weaker than Voldy but Johny looked more powerful.
I really think Voldemort is more powerful..
How 🤔? When grindelwald displays far more powerful offensive magic
Voldemort lost his powers to a BABY.
