Mr. Feeny was my favorite character on boy meets world because he always kept it real, gave you real life lessons with no chasers and I understood everything he said back then, especially this episode. That character was prophetic in my eyes back then and everything that he said aged well because it still rings true to the day

Counter point Professor, you and your generation walked out on us long before this episode ever aired. Maybe intuitively we could sense the heap of refuse you were leaving for us to clean up. Maybe as your generations’ illustrious progeny we saw the flaws in the system you urged us to sacrifice everything for and we went unheard and ignored for too long. Maybe we focused on “slaying king koopa and saving the princesses” because we knew thats exactly what we would be forced to do once we had to reluctantly pick up the mantle off of your shriveled husks. Fight your betters and their children (the villains you blindly handed over the keys to castle to) in order to restore order and purpose. The best part is when the smoke settles, AT BEST we’ll get our names abbreviated then etched on some kind of memorial like some kind of leaderboard just to have it smashed to bits by our successors at some point in the future. We were destined to be under-appreciated unsung heroes the moment you became arrogant compassionless control freaks.
