Andrés Orozco-Estrada is an exceptionally talented conductor and certainly extracts the very best from this orchestra.

As a person who has read the Shakespearean play of Macbeth before, your effort is much appreciated 🎉and thank you very much that you allow me to correlate my knowledge of the book to this beautiful piece

I have never liked this work, thinking it is a boring mess aurally and structurally, but I must admit I enjoyed it more this time, hearing it in a really fine performance and great video presentation. It still remains my least favorite Strauss symphonic poem, however.

I agree completely with your comments. Strauss had not quite found his "voice" (as they say) when he composed this early work.

Of course it means Beethoven's Ninth. We call this a quote (and it is in the original key!): listen where I come from and where I am about to go!

The quotation of something in the first about 1, 5 seconds seems like a friendly joke.

Another discrepancy between the baton and the performance. The entire orchestra seems to resist the hasty tempo set by the conductor.

Sorry but I'm not seeing that.

@@bobareebop Whether there is such a discrepancy or not depends on every listener's personal feeling.
