I can understand your joy, because you have overwintered so many gorgeous flowers which came back with or without your help. I personally am prouder and more satisfied when I have old plants coming back than when I buy spectacular plants in bloom. 💚

Absolutely agree - it IS much more satisfying when your old plants come back! Then we know we took care of them properly, and that's something to be proud of 💚😊

Omg! You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs right now! I got so excited when your notification pops up. I love your garden… it’s so full of color and personality. I have a lot of rocks in my beds also. My husband manages a rock quarry so I get all mine free 🤗
Keep up the good work Nicole! ❤

First of all, you are so sweet, and I thank you for this message!! Secondly, I'm SO JEALOUS that your husband manages a rock quarry!! I'm not even kidding. I go through great lengths to get my rocks carted in (ok, I have fun doing it), but I would be in heaven if I had access to more big rocks! 😁 Thanks again! 😊💚

Thanks for sharing your blooms, Nicole. Living in zone 6b-7a, we are behind your growing season. Our weather goes back and forth, warm then cool.
I am excited though. Take care.❤❤❤

I totally understand - my mom is in zone 6 and we talk all the time about what's blooming there. I know the last average frost date for you is coming up, though, so that's exciting!!!! Have a great gardening season! ❤️

Another great video, Nicole! So much in your area is blooming. I just planted some dianthus. I can’t wait to see them do their thing! Next I would like to get some rocks. I think they look so neat in your garden.

I really love the way rocks look and add structure to the garden. And yay to the Dianthus! 😁 Thanks so much for this message! 💚

I'm not exaggerating when I say that is the most GORGEOUS bearded iris I've ever seen... I'm honestly blown away!!! Do you happen to remember where you got those? (I'm also in NC, closer to Raleigh.) I can't find anything quite like it on the Internet!

Hi there! My mom actually gave me these irises when she was dividing hers... so I was just going down a rabbit hole looking online for what it could be. The closest match I've found is called 'Broken Link' : wiki.irises.org/Bb/BbBrokenLink
I'm going to keep hunting and comparing to my pics and see if I come up with anything else for you!! 💚

Hi Nicole, I have a question about the dianthus. Does it bloom only in spring or is it reblooming? I just bought 2 with the blue-ish foliage from Lowe’s but it says spring blooming on the tag. I’m in zone 8b and I’m just wondering is it going to bloom for me into summer.
Please let me know what you think.
I absolutely love your garden and I wish so badly that you were my neighbor. 🌹🌺

Since we're in the same zone, I will tell you my dianthus blooms on and off all year! All the types of Dianthus I have, have all performed the same (as well as stayed evergreen in the winter, just with minor blooming). It's been a reliable performer even in the major heat of summer. Deadheading is helpful! Good luck!!

@@mycarolinagarden Ok thank you. That makes me excited. I’m going to find a nice spot for them and plant them in the morning. Also, I’m on the hunt for some blanket flowers. Your garden is so inspiring. 👍🙂
