  • In this video I compare three sounds - Univibe, Lesley cabinet (i.e.Rotary Speaker) and a Chorus pedal with the rate turned up. Although similar, there are many differences.

Second time you went to the Lesley was very good tone!

Thanks. The Lesley has a "brake effect" where it speeds up or slows down. It can be very dramatic. It also compresses the sound. I think it works best in small doses because it is very psychedelic!

@@peterquinn7237 thank you for that, I was going to mention that it would be good in small doses as a highlighted part of lead etc... I got that feeling on the first time you ran it.

@@verruckterwissenschaftler Thanks. I made a video last year called "Hammond Organ from Hell" where I talk about the Pinwheel and the "brake effect". People like Jon Lord used it for really good effect. I think it was Jimi Hendrix who first used the Lesley with a guitar, but I'm not sure. Anyway, here's a link:

Definately got that Robin, like that one big time, Lesley has a cool variation, the chorus is good too and common sounding for chorus. That first one was amazing!
