Had tickets once while in the Navy , ship left a week early . gave tickets to a buddy's wife and her friends , they said it was a great show . never had another opportunity to see them
This was blasting on every car stereo back in the day when it came out. I was a sophomore in HS. Still have my original vinyl. I Enjoy your insights as a first time listener
Being a songwriter, vocalist and multi instrumentalist myself, this was one of my favorite albums. Every song is a great song. There have only been 4 albums where to me every song was a great song or a least a good song, and that's Van Halen's debut album. Foreigner's debut album. Def Leopard's third album Pyromania, and Guns N Roses debut album.
This song has always been one of my favourite VH songs. I first heard it in the mid-80’s when I stumbled on to this album as a 16 year old. For some reason I just fell in love with this song and Ice Cream Man even though every song on the album is a banger.
This album came out when I was in high school one of the first concert I had ever went to was Van Halen opening for Black Sabbath 1976 in Philadelphia. This album was an amazing jump from what was happening in the seventies to what was to come in the 80s. We had never seen anything like Van Halen when they hit the stage they were an explosion of entertainment music and visual effect all-in-one thing happening at the same time this may sound weird describing it like that but I don't know how else to do it LOL
This is definitely worthy of your invisible vinyl collection. Dude I had a vinyl collection of nearly 2,000 records until I sold it during the pandemic down to about maybe 50 of them. That was so difficult that I've been thinking about it forever. It is hard to maintain and hard to move around I will say that. ❤ I grew up with this album and it's one of the greatest debut albums ever along with that first Boston album and a couple others. And you know I really loved the song. Back where the sound was popular this. Play just along with every other song it wasn't voted least likely to succeed, laugh. And I've always gotten a more positive meaning out of the song, some of those where everybody sees somebody a certain way when their kids liking school or in the neighborhood or something and then they turn out to really take off and your Marvel at it you go wow we never would have guessed.
Yessir, the whole VH1 album is dope. Don’t start messing with vinyl yet. It gets expensive af. Better off streaming or CDs. Get a Wiim mini for streaming or an old DVD player for CDs. Ultra cheap!🖖🏼
🫶🏽Give a listen to Live version of “Little Dreamer”. Also, check out Jimi Hendrix’s “Spanish Castle Magic” live & studio version. Wishing you the best!
Well, if you try hard and then succeed they will have to face their ow failure in life so it's just a lot easier to keep on pulling those around you down to your level.
I love this song. This whole album is incredible.
Wow! It’s been a long time since I’ve heard this. 🔥 Thanks! Gotta add this to my playlist.
I loved the haunting sound of the whole song. Just gave off vibes of a hopeful dreamer that never did it.
Always loved this song.
Same! This & Jamie's Cryin are my 2 favs on this album🍻
You're right, every song on this album is fire! Imagine when this came out there was nothing even close to this.

Truth
When this came out it was as if a UFO had landed and these four guys walked out the door… it was more than most of us could comprehend
I do believe I wore this album out from so much play! Plus I blew out my expensive speakers..never could get it loud enough lol 😆 🙃

Keep those Van Halen reactions coming if you want to have a great time ! Van Halen was the ultimate party band !!
🤘🏽My second band to see LIVE after Queen, David Bowie & The Police & Prince. So grateful!

VH 1 and 2 are classic.. Love it!
Excellent reaction
Maybe my favorite song on the entire record and that's saying something.
Yo biz. Anotha one👊
They talked about "super-groups" after this shit was said and done. It was always there with this lineup. EVH, Diamond Dave, Alex.
great song shows their versatility
hard
Great album.
their first 2 albums were fire
I remember the Nickerbockers version of this song. An American Beatles John Lennon impersonation.
Sorry this comment went to the wrong reaction.
One of the loudest bands you would ever hear
Produced by Ted Templeton...he brought this masterpiece together
Next Reaction video has got to be : VAN HALEN - Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
I did that one already
@@watchbizmatik I'll check out your video for this song. Thanks

David Lee Roth is the front man! To beat all! 🎙️🎤 I know he is a jacka$$ but he’s it for me! 🤘
Man, you gotta do Outta Love Again off of Van Halen II. It’s basically Eddie and his brother fighting back and forth. Killer song.
Play this album so loud that your teeth rattle in your mouth !!!
