    Luxury watches are on the breakfast menu as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega watches, Audemars Piguet, and other leading luxury watch brands provide your recommended serving of heavy metal. Grand complications, dive watches, dress watches, early and exotic F.P. Journe watches, and even entry-level luxury are on the table as we wake up with watches and host Tim Mosso
    The Rolex GMT Master II “Pepsi GMT” leads the line for the Rolex brand thanks to its iconic Pan-Am inspired rotating 24-hour “GMT” bezel and the classic blue-and-red combination. The stainless-steel Rolex hit parade continues with the Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000, a 40mm Rolex dive watch built for only three model years from 2014 to 2016; this is an investment-grade collectible watch. Finally, the funky blue-and-black dial Deepsea Sea-Dweller D-Blue recalls director James Cameron’s dive to the bottom of the Challenger Deep with his Rolex watch.
    Omega watches arrive in the form of the legendary Speedmaster Moonwatch Grey Side of the Moon and a handy 41mm Seamaster Aqua Terra. The Omega Grey Side of The Moon is a modern legend with a grey ceramic case, platinum dial, and a feature-packed automatic caliber 9300 chronograph chronometer movement. The Omega Aqua Terra proves that watch buyers don’t need to break the bank or apply for a mortgage in order to enjoy the luxury watch hobby.
    Patek Philippe, the foremost name in high horology watches, stuns with two high complications in platinum. The Patek Philippe 5216P is a perpetual calendar, minute repeater, and tourbillon built from 2013 to 2016; roughly 12 were built per year. The Patek Philippe 5208P is a true “grand complication” by the traditional definition that combines a chronograph, a perpetual calendar, and a minute repeater. For collectors who are able to afford the near-$1 million price of the 5208P, there awaits the pleasure of owning the very same watch worn by Patek Philippe CEO and controlling family member, Thierry Stern.
    Rare F.P. Journe watches arrive in the form of a Chronometre a Resonance Black Label; this model is restricted to sale through F.P. Journe factory boutiques and espaces - and only to existing F.P. Journe watch buyers. The rare F.P. Journe Octa Zodiaque is a 2003-2005 limited edition of 150 pieces that includes a Zodiac calendar alongside a traditional big date display; this vintage F.P. Journe watch also includes a brass movement and a case by Elinor, F.P. Journe’s original case supplier.

    That Patek Grand complication is something else 👍👍👍 but I would be lost in such a dial, will be sitting all day looking at the dial and playing with the complications :D
    My favorite has to be the A. Lange & Sohne 1815 200th Anniversary, that is one hell of a fine watch and exactly my taste.
    I would also say that the DB25 might be the most beautiful three-hander watch at the moment

      The three-hand 1815 was the anti-5208P. The De Bethune is too beautiful for words, and I'm pretty sure that I profane it by trying...

      Those watches are a show of force by the Sterns. There's a ton of talk about whether Lange/Journe/Credor/Greubel is a Patek killer, but the reality is that Patek is head and shoulders above them all at the top of its product range. I'll admit this, and I love all of those other brands.

      @@the1916companywatchreviews Thanks Tim. Well, would love to purchase one from WatchBox but all the way from Malaysia, with the possible insane custom tax and hold up, it is not really promising especially when I can get some of those models here but who knows. Maybe one day if I do find myself traveling in US. That might just happen. Saving up for a Rolex actually. Hopefully WatchBox Singapore have what I am looking for. Would love to know if watchbox have any past customer ordering from Malaysia and what are those hidden cost involved. Cheers. Yit out.

    The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph is a winner, a stunning dial, the bracelet and clasp are the best, movement is elegant, at this price point a better choice than the Rolex 116500.

      The FF titanium/blue is a full-fledged personal dream watch, so that by a mile. It's also in a totally different echelon of finishing and hand-crafted refinement than the Omega, which is an outstanding product of industrial manufacture. The FF would be my choice by a mile, but it has unfair advantages in price and spec over the superb Grey Side.

    • @the1916companywatchreviews
      @the1916companywatchreviews  4 года назад

      There are many different arrangements, but I'd say the best are 1) tough and 2) easy to adjust. On that basis, something like the free-sprung Rolex balance with Microstella bolts is the best solution; there's a little screw at the end of the fixed stud-holder that permits quick and precise adjustment of beat error. Lange uses other means to adjust beat error, but I like Rolex's solution for both rate and beat because both are intuitive.
