With more than 400 years of experience and expertise to their name, we think it’s safe to say that Zildjian might know a few things about making cymbals. Their K Sweet pack applies their centuries of wisdom to deliver an all-encompassing, versatile suite of sonic possibilities, comprising a pair of 15-inch hi-hats, 17- and 19-inch crash cymbals, and a middle-weight, 21-inch ride. Moreover, the crashes feature unlathed bells, supplementing your sound with a venerable spice of rich, dark character, allowing them to thrive in any number of genres. We had Nick D’Virgilio take them for a spin to see - or hear - what this pack can really do. Check it out!

They are a perfect blend for my newest band "Rock Candy USA! " Aptly named as they sound sweet and have a quick decay.
Nick once again. After 2 years of research I finally got me the whole kit, the 21,19,17 and 15” hihats. Picking up my drumming again after 30 years. You Nick have definitely contributed to this choice. Great versatile cymbals, thin enough to me as musical in every aspect. Recommend them really. Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪.
Beautiful sound, and expert demonstration by Nick as always.
Thanks for the demo! I bought mine about 1.5 years ago and love them!
Love the 15 hats and 23 ride. I use them in a heavy rock jam pop original band. I find the 23 ride can honestly do anything
I think the 23 crashes much better than the 21. I've owned both. The 21 cuts more but is a little brash, and the bell is more prominent. The 23 is a perfectly balanced cymbal. I just wish they made the same design in 22.
@@DogAfraidOfUmbrellas yessssssss I agree I think a 22 sweet ride would be the ultimate ride.
@@mikeevangelista1177 A man of culture!
Great demonstration, Nick
I love my K Sweets!
Hey, don't hate me, I don't want to be mean but Nick is wrong in a couple of things here: first, there are actually 14" K Sweet hats beside the 15" and 16" (they introduced them a bit later, but it was a few years ago now).
Second, the unlathed bell is not intended to bring up those "darker tones" (= lower pitch), but quite the opposite. The thinner the cymbal the lower the pitch (darker), and these cymbals are very thin, so they decided to keep the bell unlathed (therefore more mass and thickness on the bell) in order to retain some amount of high pitch (brightness) for the crashes and hats. All this according to Paul Francis himself, who _I guess_ must know something about it...
Anyways, these K Sweet are great cymbals. I have a 23" ride and is just... 🤤🤤🤤
Cool info. So they are supposed to be thinner than the K Dark thin's, correct?
Awesome to have two K Sweet videos!
Beautiful display of sound...
Hi again. Just want to tell that I complemented this setup with an Zildjian K Paper Thin crash 18” that is just as musical as all the other but just even a bit more thinner. Even before that I got me a Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Splash 9”. Great mix. Thinking about doing the last and final completion with a 21” or 22” K Paper thin to use as crash ride. Never had such a nice cymbal stack.
These sound great across the board.
Next please would you do the K Custom Dark line???
I tried several different sizes of the K Sweets. Not my “Cup Of Tea”. I prefer the K Dark Thins (not the Custom Darks). Thanks Nick and Sweetwater for the video!!
I think zildjian needs to make 20 and 21 inch k light rides!
Yup..Got the Constinople ride,20 inch cluster crash...
I got the 23" K Sweet Ride, and really liked it. Enough to strongly consider not playing Sabian anymore, so I got the 20" K Sweet Crash annnnd.. I hated it. For being a 20", it was so bland, and puny sounding. I discovered the HHX Complex series by Sabain not long after, and love them so much more.
What about that cluster, is it even thinner?
I bout this exact cymbal pack and I'm in love. Believe it or not they blend really well with my Paiste Giant Beats.
I really want these
Wow best cymbals everb
I find that the A & K Sweet rides are on the quiet side.
I bought my 14" K Sweet hats before this video posted. Unless its dated incorrectly. I like the 14's, but im with Nick, 15's are more my style.
Whats a good china that maches these?
I was dissapointed by this cymbalset. Hihat 15" and 17" crash where oke to me. I went back to my Paiste sigs...😢
really? ...I been going back & forth between the Sigs & 2002's for the last week. well I happened upon these and might be sold. your thoughts?
first comment I wish i want a K Sweet Ride that''s what Travis Barker using this cymbal on tour with Blink-182
He's using both the 23" as main ride and 21" as right crash. Crazy money
Have you found a good pic or rundown of his latest tour rig?
@@jsauce311 yes
His 21” and 23” K Sweet Rides are in a brilliant finish too
To be honest cymbals will sound very good behind the drummer hands.. cymbal sound itself is just the bonus..
de ja vu...
