In other states you can’t instantly spot that someone’s in a gang. Long time ago I wore dickies and Ben Davis in Louisiana, they called the, church cloths lol. In CA you wear a dress shirt buttoned all the way up, and a certain sports team hat, BAM, cops, everyone know what it is. That culture got thousands of ppl killed in CA.
But, some places are a bit different. For instance, I've walked around Newark, The Bronx, and mostly Harlem, around 2005. In New York, I found that most people are standoff-ish. They mind their own business, and are not too confrontational. In L.A. it's a different story. If you cross a certain block, you can immediately be hit up (questioned). So, it's very different.
