Hey Christine! We haven't seen anything from you in a few months...Are you OK? I watch your aunt Catherine weekly but have not heard anything from you. I pray you are ok with all the covid stuff going on. Maybe you are just taking some time off and that is just fine with all that's going on. But please let your fans/ followers know what's going on. Thanks for all you do and opening up your life and travels. I have been watching you for several years when I think it was your uncle(?) and you went up San Jucinto in California. Your pack packing and video has really developed over the years. We pray you are ok..
eating when its cold is a great thing to do. it make the body full, and warms up the body at the same time. NEVER starve the body of food and energy and water, a must! it better to be full , being full makes for a energy time or health and knowing your going to be around for the next day???? you dont know each day, things change , so will YOU.!
Generally speaking this is great advice! I know myself out there well enough to understand the struggles I have during dinner time in the backcountry. I’m just doing what works for me. :)
"more technical" routes that's my jam. Summer in the Sierra is magical. Thanks for sharing some of the magic. That's a little bit of paradise there and the ants, mosquitos, and ticks apparently know it as well... or is it you they like? :)
America is such a big country with so many wide open spaces. The dream is to visit a few of the national parks and your videos provide some great ideas of where to go. The scenery is amazing
This is a frequent comment from foreign visitors to the Rockies, the Sierra and our other wilderness areas. It seems foreigners appreciate America more than we do.
@@XJarhead360 the big open spaces in America the sheer scale of it. I live in Ireland on the side of a mountain. When I go out there for a walk there u will always see people out and about. America I’m sure u can go miles and see no one just open space. Wilderness to a degree where has here a land is farmed. There’s a national parks documentary on Netflix which I have watch many times some very beautiful places that would be worth a visit.
Awesome scenery again, yes it’s pathetic mines aren’t held responsible for the destruction they cause. I know it’s different now, but a lot of the older damage is irreversible. Stay safe cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Little Lakes IS a pristine area. I did an overnight there years ago. After seeing your video I have no desire to cross Morgan Pass. A nice day hike not too far away is Convict Lake.
What an interesting story about that area. I hadn't heard of it until your video. Bummer about those ants. We had ants at one camp on the Tahoe Rim Trail, but they were nothing compared to the nasty mosquitos. I love the clips of the ice flowing and the slow-motion when you were setting up your tent. Very cool!!!
Little lakes valley is getting a lot of light, recently! Great video! What do you shoot with? What’s your tech gear? The other gear links were camp specific. Curious, cause everything looks great!
Honestly, no I don’t get scared. I know my limits and do my best to make responsible decisions. Anything that may happen that’s beyond my control isn’t worth spending energy worrying about.
Punchy is used to describe breaking through a consolidated crust of snow. Post-holing is more accurately used for new snow. I wouldn’t correct anyone using them interchangeable though-they essentially mean the same thing.
It is not good the way the area has been polluted and left that way while in the process of exploiting the area Petition the ones who benefited to clean it up if possible....A lovely hike..
Your editing and music selections keep getting better. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Totally agree! After watching this one I wish I could tag along sometime...

Christine, in your travels have you come across "Homemade Wanderlust," Dixie?
Hi, how wide is the mattress in your car? I'm trying to decide between 25 and 31 inches. Thanks!

Christine, do you ever still get a little scared when your out there in the wild? Your thought would be wonderful and insightful

@@nomad_unknown YW. You've got the gorgeous scenery down. Now let's see you prepare those to die for meals.

Backpackers who leave anything behind, should NEVER be able to be anywhere out there. Ever…
