In this episode of The Off Grid Scout, I check out a remote property located with a view of Lake Mead Arizona. A super pretty piece of wierdly situatated property with even a little bit of mobile phone service. 4x4 required, nearly road access. Cool little property!
Disclaimer: I am not a real estate agent. I'm not interested in selling properties, I have no deals with any agents, I am just a scout, and I do it for fun, and because I love off grid living... that being said, the listing for this property can be found here: www.kingmanlandforsale.com
Disclaimer: I am not a real estate agent. I'm not interested in selling properties, I have no deals with any agents, I am just a scout, and I do it for fun, and because I love off grid living, BUT if you REALLY want to get more info about this property, leave me a message in the comments here, and I'll dig you up a link.
Live Radical if you have the link please?
look up sunset ranches texas and tell me if you think that's a scam plz
Great video. Its encouraging to me to get out there an do some of my own scouting. Could you share this particular listing? Thanks.
Live Radical what drone you using if you don't mind me asking?....
I'm sorry did you just say we're going to do more fun stuff like this what was fun about it number one you're a man and you were scared to drive your truck up the little embankment and then like I say other than that what would have been fun about this cheese I look at your generation man and I really don't understand are you with your ponytail and stuff and the way you you act I don't know if your male or female sometimes I'm out
As soon as my purchase of a helicopter is completed, I will call.
bwaha
All you need is a lifted Jeep Wrangler, patriot, Cherokee, renegade with a winch.....or the right ATV.....or dirt bike......
Or just spend the $500 to have someone come blade that trail a bit....
That dirt road doesn't seem bad at all, up to the spot where he had to leave his car. America has more wilderness and remote areas as compared to Europe, so as somebody living in Europe I'm surprised how Americans think this is a bad road, especially if you're driving a Hummer. This looks like a normal country dirt road where you could drive with any car.
This video (and this property) are why we are in the business. Get the heck off the grid and live life!
Thanks Jack
I LOVE that he did this video. Gives a lot of perspective on what it actually may be when purchasing a small piece of land. He really goes to the extreme measure when he scouts out the properties, and I think it's brilliant. He saves you the trouble of scouting it out yourself, and throws in a little humor as he is doing so.👍
I'm sorry if im out of line, here, but I'm gonna have to go watch it again. I was watching you. LOL! Hey, im just over the hill! I've been off grid for 2 years.
i love this!! i'm 21 and for 3 years already ive wanted to buy my own little piece of the world to go live in.
Majestic, ty for showing us your adventures.
Great video!! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
It looks like a flash flood area. Putting a small cabin is doable, and accessable with a very good off road vehicle. Nice view.
How anyone could thumb down THIS video is really quite beyond me. You did a wonderful job !
Ok for the folk who do get living in the high desert, let see if can shed some light..
1) yes it’s hot, how ever in the morning am and evening twilight it’s reasonable.
2) yup hulling water sucks, but most water sells are a buck or less for 250 gal. I use to 300 gal tanks on old camper frame trail.
I store 2500 gal , the tank was fair @ $1100. Thanks Kingman Home Depot.
3) off grid power? LOVE IT. I have double wide 24x48, Powered by two wind generators, 10 solar panels, one back up 6500 watt gen and
when need for 240v, the wind and solar feeds 16 6v golf car batteries. Ok, before you cost - $300 each wind gen/ $3100 panels included
control system/ $1600 batteries / $550 gas 6500watt gen (use it about once ever 6-8wks for 2-3days). Thanks Amazon
( did pick up at the local Fedex office, but did it w/ my crew cap Ford F-350 dual wheel 4x4)
4) as far as growing here, ok pot, watermelon grow best, avocado, limes, lemon, oranges Ok- live stock Texas long horn, jersey beef, llama,
Alpaca, donkey, horses, dogs, cats, birds. Most eat the sage brush, wild straw grass.
I did plant Cotten wood trees between the fruits, and willow oak. My goats and sheep love eating the leaves from them.
5) Now for the wild life, but remember most cities are over ran with rats &mice, stray dogs and cats. Most of the USA have poisonous snakes
And insects. (Let me name to few see if they are in your area... copperhead snake, water moccasins, black widow, brown recluse spider,
field viper, Cotten moth...all just as bad as the rattlers & scorpion. )
Large wildlife - are very much like your area too. Bobcats found to out most of the US, mountain Lion be found in states like PA, Up State Ny
Too..no just in their zoos.
6) so why here....no HOA ,,to cry because my daughter wants a horse, or cry because my son and I ride dirt bikes & ATVs, or cay because I wake
Up jump in my SandRail and race the dirt roads.....HELL NO COP to get all trigger happy...because a neighbor herd something go bump in the
Dark. ( 411 motion solar lights wal-mart $24 ...get some...animals move in the night)
So why did you watch his video...just to complain? No one made you...dummy. I forgot DA - city folks.
Try researching it first and ask the people that live way out of grid. Like Between Kingman Az. And Ca line.
Thanks for video. Could you Drop a few flags at the corners of the plot , to help better define the plot then fly over...just asking for the next piece of land and videos. Yucca AZ rules. 114* 75 all night. Winter 75* all day and nice propane fire all night. Prevent wild fires.
have not laughed this much in a long time, thanks
That mountainside is perfect for a bermed, half underground dwelling.
that's a cool idea!
Steve Bartlett wases
Steve Bartlett with no water..u can recycle piss
Steve Bartlett and on top of that mountain is a good place for a GAS STATION ⛽lmso
I was thinking the same thing, best machine for the road might be a mini excavator, maybe once every two years
monolithic dome embedded into the hill with full frontal glass, and it doesn't look like the neighbors will complain if you walk across their lawn
The Jehovah's witnesses will find you.
The Way and we will send them to the neighbors house that doesn’t take care of they’re property.
Old mining claims are often high on the side of a steep hill-and usually with poor access. Generally they are 10 acres and long and narrow. I bought 4 that were together here in Colo. surrounded by Nat. forest. and I had to get a special use permit to drive down a wash to get to it. It's a sweet piece of property but the taxes are high and my "road" permit is $140 per year. We were going to build an off grid but could not get water so it is just a place to camp and cut firewood.
Haul water in or do rain catching
Absolutely beautiful! !!!
Nobody is going to find you out there. No salesman, no attorneys, ex spouses or delivery trucks. Modern day Henry David Thoreau
RuralVacantLand.com no water either
Government drones will find you
Rain water collection/filtration and storage system?
Golembeski, amazing how much water you can collect with 1 inch of rain.
pirucreek>>>Yeah...I found a website that gives you a simple formula to estimate water collection per square foot per inch of rain. Basically, take your square footage x .61 and that will give you a close estimate of the gallons of water in one inch of rain. Say you build a home or structure with 2000 square feet under roof connected to gutters and downspouts... you could collect over 1200 gallons per inch of rain. Makes living off grid possible in designated "desert" areas with only 10-12" of rain per year.
Dude love this video. Makes me miss the desert.
Owning property? You can't own property in the USA. You rent it from the government.
So edgy! I can feel your teenage angst all the way across the internet.
Kevin it's true though. You can't just buy land and relax and live off grid... You have to pay property taxes on it forever or they take it away.
Bobby Smith , exactly you just acquire responsibilities and bills ,yes you can do things you can't do on a rented property and you still save money comparing to a rental but it isn't easy by far, I have property in Pennsylvania and if I buy property on Arizona I'll put a mobile home on a piece of land, you can't get taxed as a "house" because it isn't a house ,is considered a vehicle. Better than getting freeze to death up here that's for sure.
So true, you should only have to pay when you use something you don't own. like the road you drive on, pay the owner a fee. the property you live on pay the owner a fee. the water you drink, pay the supplier a fee.
popothebright really but why you can not own the land....you are american people, you just pay your property tax...how come you are an american people...
I am very interesting your video.Your discribing approache is appropriate to be to agree any land buyer.I am falling on your video.
BEST ADVICE you've ever GOT :-), u may want to sell the H3 (unreliable) and buy low mileage NISSAN XTERRA between 2009-2014 model, that SUV is BEST overall low maintenance SUV ever made!
That property is so far out in the boonies that you can't get there from here , you have to go someplace else to start . LOL !
001DesertRat Hell you half to pipe sun shine in.
the hermit life, one loves banana cactus 🌵
My little Mini Cooper will have a hard time on this property. I'm in Arizona so we will keep checking out your videos. I love the drone videos. Beautiful.
It has a hard time not blowing up everyday. They're piles, sell it while you can.
Beautiful view, but a bit scary too if living alone..anyway, nice video
That is awesome what you are doing with that drone.
looks amazing!
Bro great music! reminds me of old Nintendo video game music
Good luck getting groceries and supplies there
Wow so cool of you to do this! Newly subscribed. My dream is to live off grid very simply.
Fool..
No water, no internet, no food, no one to talk to, no birds only useless plants... get a life!
I think it's a great idea
glorious manbun
4:25 Hey bird. You’re just a bird. That’s good. 😆 You are a cutie. Enjoyed this video!
Ladykosbo bwaha, i was happy it wasn’t a snake 😉
I love the follow-me cam footage.
You should take some off road driving courses. I could drive that in a sedan.
Wouldn’t want it for free cause I wouldn’t be able to find my way in or out LMFAO
Love the "Quest For Glory 2" game music.
Bwaha, well done in recognizing that! Golden oldie of a song that one.
This music is wild fam 🤣
Nice drone shots man. Seriously awesome.
So what about all the land leading up to that one piece of property? Do private owners own that land, or is that Gov. land, and that was the only property available for citizen purchase?
BLM land from Cottonwood Rd (Main Rd) to the Section/Subdivision. I had 3, this is the last one.
It is Cholla cactus. Exercise extreme caution. Fun video.
Same hilly areas in north west Pakistan my village ,amazing
defintiely cool and remote- i might be a little concerned that when it does rain that gully may become flooded
Incredible footage! Excellent work with your drone skills, too!
I think the man bun is like the mullit of the new age
Beautiful landscape. 😎
awesome country! I like your music, too.
THIS IS PERFECT , NOW I CAN WRITE MY MANIFESTO AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT
Once there are self navigating flying car tech. Nap and fly. And a new drone service that transports water to your home storage tank. Those boondocks chunks of land will be the rich getaway.
One thing need to add in on land is if the slope is south facing. Going to be off grind be nice to know if your in the shade of high ground.
I wish you giving more information about how can we buy this Acre. Thanks anyway
what kind of trees will grow best in that area and other vegies
It's been 5 years do you think it's still sale?
Nothin out there but rattlesnakes and scorpions lol!
Drones are fun. I love mine.. good luck on your channel dude.
I'd planned to purchase few acres out there myself, but couldn't make it without the 4X4...; thanks for sharing
I have friends that spend that much for a cabin the woods for a week. That close to lake mead all ya need is a small trailer and a jet ski and your set for at least half of the year. Walmart has drinking water everywhere out west. Bet the property tax is about ten bucks. Live radical. :)
Are you Canadian, I hear an aboot now and then. 😉 I’m Canadian and live near where you went to see this property… yup, those are BC plates, nice to see another BC person down here. I bought 65 acres near that area for under $35k, this place rocks!!! Mine 3 parcels beside each other were $15,900 for 20 acres, then I bought the 40 acres parcel beside me for $17,900 and then a 5 acre block beside it for $2,000. Putting in my well cost me twice what all the land cost me. 🤦♀️
I like it good Boondocking place!
I’d be afraid of a UFO beaming me up!
What type of drone are you using?
That location is south of Gold Butte, the old abandoned mining town. Very interesting. You may be buying a mine on that property too. Thanks for sharing :|
ALWAYS LEFTOVER GOLD/SILVER
That’s Teddybear cactus, my dude. Nasty stuff!
Well did you buy it?
Where exactly is this place? How do I find it?
Beautiful .
why if one goes off road should ave a detroit rear locker. and have there truck set up for being out there. did he even bring water? food? shelter? a way to get help?
If you buy that, you need a dozier or a skid steer to level out some of the property and maintain that road.. Cool place though, as long as you have the money to properly take care of it...
isnt lake mead the one that was drained almost completely by vegas?
Great, Thanks.
Hell of a nice view. Buy it for 1K cheap.
Suuuuper! Ahm, the very landscape and the property of my dream, how sad..am dure its gobe! Will try to vontact youuu.( all you need is internet)
How can I purchase this land from outside U.S.A?
That's a nice property
you could build partial underground house into the hillside... pretty nice views
cool drone photography.
looks like that might be difficult to give away.
how did just 1 acre get cut loose like that?
Exactly what im thinking. Why just one isolated acre. Whats up with everything else out there....
There's several up there. It's a whole section that was bought back in the day and platted out.
@@Dreasura There's several up there. It's a whole section that was bought back in the day and platted out.
DUDE! You got a Freakin Hummer! You could have Easily Drove that! That's what the Side of the Hill is for!!! vsmfh 😂 😖😖😖
Alien hillside rest stop. Don't get close to that cactus, they almost jump out at you. The barbs hurt like hell to remove. 23 years in AZ.
Don't underestimate the beauty of the cactus. I would have loved it if you'd have gotten a close-up of some of those big purple barrel cactuses. I'm looking for land like that just not quite that remote I'm an old guy and my wife we have a desire to leave Oklahoma with its sloped forehead indigenous citizens...
great video, whoever buys property can pretty cheaply develop a better access road. nice property.
That pretty awesome footage!!!
I had land at Golden Valley, sold it, talk about the water situation and yes flash floods.
How do you source your freshwater?
Never heard a Cholla cactus called a banana cactus. They are also called jumping cactus because if you get anywhere near them, you will end up with some on you, as you did.
Only problem is you will replace your mortgage payment with an electric bill for the A/C.
I wonder how many people’s property you trespassed on to get to that property?
I have a Hummer too. I've been to Gold Butte and wanted to get down to the area you explore in this video. Your Hummer will easily climb those hills. Be careful of those ruts and gully's.
I like it.
Vy Tran aqqa
Grenda Bulkowski ?????
In Iowa you can get land and grow something other than rocks. No rattlesnakes lots of deer and wild turkeys
A must is to do a title search , a lot of people sell land they do not OWN!
Sometimes, yes. However, we've have the title to this parcel for many yrs. Now selling.
And when the desert torrential down pours come, (and they will come), good luck making a fast muddy get away (no matter what you drive) as your land starts to slide.
Pffttt...that land gonna be on that hillside long after you and I are gone ;)
Great Video.. inspire me for my land video promo of Labuan Bajo, Komodo islands, Indonesia.
Liked your video like your positive energy My kind of people I will subscribe to the channel keep in touch
The price of about twenty thousand hectares of land in mojave?
Surreal.
Is it for sale by the city through a homestead program? Cities out in the sticks like to push those just to get tax revenue for city services . They frequently have those rules about not building permanent structures.
It's FOR SALE BY OWNER. I have all my property's mapped out on Google Maps. You can find them on my website www.KingmanLandForSale.com I offer Owner Carry Financing with as little as $200 down. No Credit Check. See my reviews for feedback. 928-377-4000
Strict build permits?
great just where do you get water from
Makes you wonder why they ever put a road going there
Gathering No Moss Seriously does beg a question or two.
I'd prefer something southern Oregon with water LOL, I'd also say with the chance of rocks out there in the unknown, look into rock tumbling for something to show off
What about mineral rights, and how about patent property.
The RailRoad and county kept most of the mineral rights but I see them on a deed every now and then.
What does it mean to own it? It's no different than the empty expanse around you. I would rather squat in a vacant San Francisco house before doing this.
Or I would sleep in some bushes in Carmel by the sea. This land looks inhospitable unless you spend a ton of money to build it. Just seems like the biggest pain in the butt.
With all due respect though. You are a cool guy. Thank you for scouting this place out. It's neat to see
