    I've had my Livescope for almost a year now. It is definitely the most amazing thing I've ever used on a boat. I have witnessed so many cool things watching the fish. I'm not a wealthy person but I took a leap of faith after watching many videos and have never looked back. Thank you for a great video. Tight lines...

      No one is downing anything, it’s just fishing used to be about observation, now the screens do it for you. It’s not downing it’s a fact. It just hurts these rich folks to admit it.

      @@mikebeech942 you can have ffs for 3k at bass pro,get a BP credit card and pay $39 bucks a month to own it. As far as observation , screens only show you what there, you have to find the fish on your own. FFS does not take the place of knowing,weather,seasonal patterns,water clarity, water flow, these things are observations not screens. It's here to stay,accept it!!

    My Active Target was good yesterday for watching fish follow my bait and reject it. but I was preoccupied with a bad ethernet cable that wasn't allowing me to share my map and waypoints. Something that wasn't a problem 25 years ago, when you couldn't share maps or waypoints.

    The problem is not with the technology, it is with conservation. The easier it becomes to locate and harvest fish, the greater the need to reduce bag limits as lakes become over-harvasted. Sadly, I see tons of videos promoting the technology, but not one of these videos mention conservation and the personal responsibility that must accompany the use of these advances. With great power comes great responsibility.

    What do you think about using it in grass, in particular weed edges? Don't see much LS videos on grass compared to open water or brush piles. I would think grass makes it harder to see fish that's inside the cover, but again a lot of bass and bluegill sit outside too.

      Something nobody talks about is the impact on heavy schooling fish like perch and crappie. Those populations can be wiped out by FF sonar.

    • @kevinmcglothlin7347
      @kevinmcglothlin7347 Год назад

      @@kevinbeaudean704 I have seen perch hatch is down here in Ohio as of latest report. But the crappie I don’t think will be affected a much. A black crappie lays approximately 60k to 180k eggs and white crappie lay approximately 60k to 80k. In my mind those number could mean evasive to me. Not saying FFS couldn’t hurt it but it would take everyone who fishes for them to have FFS. I know more people who fish for crappie off the bank than I do with boats. So I think crappie wouldn’t suffer so bad as perch.

    • @jamespennell6934
      @jamespennell6934 Год назад

      @@kevinbeaudean704 Isn’t that why lakes have limits. They study lake populations and set min max size limits for such reasons. With that being said with as many fish that I’ve seen on live scope and can’t catch I don’t think it will be an issue. Allowing fish to be kept during the spawn may hurt populations more than FFS but I believe that is also needed to help control populations. I don’t think any of us what the fish population to go away.

    I’ve used it on a buddy’s boat and seen how effective it can be. The one thing I can take away from it just from seeing my friend’s use it in our club trail is it’s one thing to find the fish it’s another thing to actually catch them.

    • @kevinbeaudean704

      Finding areas with fish is huge and pros will not admit it. How many times have you fished 10 docks and the 11th dock is loaded. Knowing where fish aren't is just as important as seeing fish. Pros are down playing its importance so it's not taken away and fans will tolerate the use. It is here to stay I just want the pros to admit the advantage of it.

    My opinion. If a sport requires a new "thing/substance/object" to remain competitive it needs to go.
    Baseball back in the day basically required u to do steroids to get drafted or become a known player..
    If u need livescope to compete with the other angler's then it should be banned in competition where money is on the line for the angler with the best skill and knowledge.
    Professional fishing has left behind skill and knowledge and moved to wealthy with the most gear.

    Old timers catch a limit of crappie before FFS. One's who have it can just pick out some of the older bigger crappie now and according to biologist that a actually a good thing.
    But it's not near as effective on catching big bass, it can help but it's not a guarantee. Just like senator's in Utah outlawing cellphone cameras for hunting. The deer and elk still have their eyes and incredible sense of smell. No guarantee them bass your seeing will bite.

    Pot tournaments are no longer fair because the people who have these have an advantage over those who do not.
    I used to fish and win a lot of tournaments now its the same ones winning them over and over with their expensive toys.
