  • Hello and Welcome to the last part of Video 4 of our course on Mobile Data Collection using the KoBoToolbox. My name is Wilfred NGWA. In our last video, we saw how to pre-populate a question with an answer when a user first sees the question. We also saw how to add infinite, fixed and dynamic repeats to a question or group of questions within our forms.
In this video, we will continue from where we left off by looking at 4 main topics.
    1) First, we will learn how to set or mark a question as a required or obligatory question using the “required” column
    2) then we will look at how to add customized messages to required questions, using the “required_message” column
    3) we will continue by looking at how to add cascading dropdown lists to our forms using the “choice_filter” column
    4) and lastly we will learn how to add various types of media to our forms using the “media::image” column

I have a question sir. There is an option on the Kobo tool box to add a template. How can I create a template on Kobo tool box?

Hello Rex. That's a good question. To make use of a template, you have to create one first. To create a template you make use of the library section. Once you finish creating your template, you can refer to it each time you want to create a similar project.
