Paul! Thanks for such a fun day :) always inspired by your videos! ↑%
When you played Shibuya with Covet it is next level. I had it on repeat for a while. :) That drone you both achive is amazing.
paul, the idea of putting tabs on the video is just so helpful to a new player like me
The icecream bells entry was ✨
From Julian Lage to this! Haha you keep surprising us.
Both impressive in their own rights!
The range on this channel is wild.
This guy is who got me to fall in love with making music back in 2018-2019. I'm so glad he's still going strong
Nice. One thing I love about knowing next to nothing about guitar/music theory is that I just keep moving my fingers until something sounds good. It’s also an idea to use as few fingers as possible. Play a chord and start taking fingers off or move one to the ‘wrong’ string to reveal those lovely drone notes. This works especially well with finger style or flat picking. 👍
I did not expect a colab with san holo but i LOVE IT💓
Gotta love something that sounds both beautiful and is approachable by us amateurs - great ideas! Thanks for the ideas, San Holo!
This is AMAZING. Huge fan of San Holo, so cool to see worlds collide with this video!
Love the setting. So straight forward & elegant. And both of you so unpretentious.
Love those Eastman’s!
When two awesome Dutchies meet in the USA and one wears orange sneakers, great touch and great vid!
I never heard of San quite honestly but really enjoyed this video and his sharing of his awesome technique with David. 👍🏻
I read Han Solo, at a first glance...
Yooooo San holo🔥
Thanks so much for this video, Paul! It helped me rewrite a song I have been working on for a long time. Now, I am super happy with where it is!
The brief pause in your strumming builds expectation.
The natural sounds that occur in nature like bird song and the wind.
Rockin the Eastmans! Love mine.
I’m thinking of getting an Eastman guitar. Curious what you think of them?
You won’t be disappointed.. they are fantastic
You think you‘ve seem it all melodically across all those years watching Paul‘s videos - then this happened! Wow! Funnily when I started out I thought E Shape bar chords had to leave the top two strings open therefore I am very familiar with this sound. Just beautiful.
After a really rough day, I needed this! Thank you :)
I love this. Its exactly what I always strive to sound like on acoustic guitar. I will be watching this over and over again, trying to get these licks
WHAT A FRIGGIN' CROSSOVER. YES.
San Holo one of my favorites all time back in my days of psychedelia... Had no idea he was a talented guitarist. Certainly the last person I imagined to see on this channel. Cheers mate you allowed me to see the other side of the coin many a time.
As a listener of san holo since he was in his come up I had to no idea he was such a good acoustic composer
For a seriously beginning beginner to be able to learn something so beautiful in one video and a few minutes is truly a blessing 🙏 amazing work both of you 🤙
The icecream bells made it much better. There's music in everything.
Love these odd intervals. Tonic to the 7th. Or... Tonic to the five, and to the fifth of that (which is a 9), right beside a copy of the 3, or just a semi tone apart. Or.... a pair of notes starting on the 7th of the key jumping to the 5th in the next octave - making it a sharp 5 relative to the bottom note. Or the really crazy flat 9.... And all the while including droning notes. And with my thumb wrapped around the neck to hold that bottom note....
Ok... only the musicians sort-of listen to my playing.
As you can tell, I really liked this video and what Sanholo was saying.
Just so happens I'm seriously considering of buying that exact Eastman you're playing in this one
beautiful. amazing what the droning does to pull the chords together.
Absolutely love the philosophical sprinkles throughout the video! beautiful work
Its a great way to play the guitar and all its strings and everyone can do it,, in a way, very good demo/ good point.
Edwards acoustic offerings are now coming on STRONG Paul
First time seeing San Hilo and he seems so sweet, love his playing
it sounds really beautiful
You got a collab with my biggest inspiration for music production. You blow my mind Paul.
I didn’t know the guy, I’ll check him out 😉🙏
the sound of a good guitar will create inspiration😊
it’s so cool to see 2 masters get excited about their craft
This was the first song I’ve ever learned on guitar and even though I know most people prefer his old and new style I very much prefer the music he made since album1 trough lead me back to the stay vibrant. I miss this indie, guitar centered vibe he had. But still respect him.
The best thing is that when you play it it should be yours, so some small changes just add to it. It’s as if expanded on his sentence and add your view on it :) so happy to see this two collab! 🎉🎉🎉
That´s the first song i learnt from San. I love it
Such a sweet melody. Good stuff Paul!!
Would you ever be interested in having David Maxim Micic on your channel? The way he views music is pretty unique and when he plays guitar you can tell his mind goes to a place where it's just him and the music.
J’adore ce que vous faites les gars. C’est très inspirant. C’est ce qu’on a besoin je crois dans ce monde tellement absurde. Merci pour ce que tu fais Paul.
in his spare time Messi is now learning how to play guitar
Reminds of "the world i know" by collective soul. It was always a go to song for me growing up because it was so fun and relaxing to play.
Beautiful melodies! On my journey, i am struggling with melodies over chords...this helped, i think...thanks guys!
Drone notes or tones attracted me to learning the instrument as well or at least we're a big part of enjoying learning how to play. I think from Page to Cantrell or even Travis Meeks I often sought out those "ethereal" tones that went along with such great melodies.
Its so beutifull how your guitar has a way diffirent kind of... feeling to it. If i remember correctly it was custom for you and you definitly hit the mark with it.
This is just so calm. Thank you
Great guitars !! I Love my Eastman ........Thanks
san is the sole reason i fell in love with guitar
Can you make a video about how to use scales in dutch?
(Because in english its hard for me and I think other people to understand)
Alvast bedankt Paul 😊
Haha san holo on paul davids video! Love the scope on your channel and appreciation for all music ❤
San Holo is great. album1 was a huge inspiration for me when it came out, but my hands are WAY to small for those chords lol.
Paul his travel Eastman
So cool of you! Included tabs as well
Beautiful playing!
I’m watching this with my signed San holo jersey. Such an amazing artist
6:45 love it, is amazing when that happens, never happen to me but, nice
Thankyou gentlemen!
Great vid, loved it, gorgeous melodies❤
Oh man, this is awesome!
Thank you for beautiful chords
San Holo.....out of this world.
What a delightful sound. I need to play my guitar after hearing this.
I ❤ Floaty Guitars too
That was so beautiful! Thank you for making these type of videos. You really inspire me and make me want to pick up my Guitar!
Yooo almost han solo!
Literally hit like button before watching first minute of video. Knew it would be great.
Thanks for the great video as always. This style reminds me so much of the instrumentals by a duo called Depapepe in Japan, especially a song of their's called Koimizu. Can you do a video on how they conceptualize the melody and rhythm for compositions like that?
Thank you again very much. Much love
I hear mariachi static on the radio. And the tubes they glow in the dark. And I’m there with you in Ensenada. And I’m here in Echo Park.
You should do a collab with Marling Baits RUclips, make him a song for his channel, you guys look like Ling lost brothers and have that same mellow chill vibe.
Great one Paul
Love it! ❤
Paul, ben er net pas achter dat je een Nederlander bent 😃
Je maakt prachtige filmpjes! Top!
Echt waar!

Hey, Paul, please do a video analysis of Pat Metheny's "Letter from Home" song.
Please, make a video about the music of You+Me, a music project formed by a duo: Dallas Green, and Pink.
