Unfortunately after Ash became grand champion there was still time before the Gen 9 anime could start. As a result we get filler and because Pokemon it has to be Gen 1

This is just something else, the team rocket disrespect.
What happens SHOULD be that they get blasted off so far that they go to another planet and start their own civilization.

With this year final chapter on Ash and Pikachu is about to come to the end in "Aim to be a Pokemon Master" we will never see them again then after that but the same goes for Team Rocket (Jessie, James and Meowth). So I'm going to guess this episode is Team Rocket Trio's final appearence since they decided to go their separate ways after blaming each other for their constant failures of capturing Ash's Pikachu and hopeful decided to quit Team Rocket for good just like their former rivals Cassidy and Butch.

This isn't the end of them. They're not splitting up again. They'll make up and get back together again in the last 2 episodes.

I rate this episode 3/8. Some fools on social media has hyped out this episode too much. For the story it's just classic team rocket formula that got boring in pokemon anime generation 6.
Ps. I will change the score to 7/8 in the future if this will turn out to be Team Rocket final episode afther this series will end. But at this point of time I don't believe that this was the final one with them.
