Ash Ketchum, Cynthia, Leon, and all of the other trainers from the Pokemon anime have load of powerful mons, but a big reminder... Legendaries do NOT count!

@@thatboyminus she could have had dig against Ash in the masters eight but i think Ash would have found ways to counter it by using bullet punch at the ground or either firing aura sphere in the hole or at garchomp's position after sensing her aura
Ya, it would definitely need something like eq or a rock type move
@@thatboyminus dig would be better for a ground move since it's not banned in the anime like EQ was, and it's useful for launching surprise attacks
For instance, think of garchomp using Draco Meteor for cover while she hid underground with dig and struck from below
Great list. Although I personally think that Greninja and Alain's Charizard should not be higher than Gardevoir and Metagross at all. Greninja didn't participate in M8 at all. Leon's Rillaboom should be in the list over it. Iris's Haxorus fought toe to toe with Mega Garchomp while Alain's Mega Charizard X got stomped by a Charizard without any battle gimmick on that fight.

I agree with that: he said there would be no hypotheticals for this ranking, but what he said about Ash-Greninja is just that, considering we never actually got to see it use the form after it reunited with Ash. Also consider that this was before Lucario mastered it's aura bond with Ash, and by extension, before it beat Cynthia's OP Garchomp in the Masters 8 tournament, so it's unknown how much more powerful Greninja would truly be if Ash actually used it again
Why is ash charizard not on the list
Greninja did fight Gardevoir and had the upper hand until he and Ash fell unconscious. Not participating in the M8 was just a writing decision to have Ash use his Galar team. The only Pokemon Ash used that were stronger than greninja were Pikachu and maybe Lucario

He torched a bunch of spearrow with one thunder in a rainstorm in episode one. At some point Pikachu watched Ash die a second time right in front of him when Ash turned into particle dust and Pikachu electo-nuked everything in I think like a 20 mile radius. Let's be honest with ourselves, with feats such as those to Pikachu's name, was there ever really any doubts?

Ash's greninja in journeys got so stronger he would wipe the floor with alain's mega Charizard he was so fast that lucario couldn't even see him his shurikens look way bigger and his punch sent lucario flying a Pokemon who is a steel type which is supposed to have insane durability all of this was done by base greninja even without Ash's greninja form

Greninja came close and had the potential to beat one even with the bond phenomenon not perfected yet, and Lucario beat three champion level Pokemon during the masters eight

The Lucario monologue made me realize that Ash's Lucario immediately took to M.E. vs the absolute DISASTER that was Korrina and hers first several attempts. Really shows just how much the narrative wanted to get across his bond with his Pokémon, on par with (or at minimum a very close second to) bond phenomenon imo.

@thatboyminus Looks good, but I would Blaziken a little higher in my opinion, especially above Luxray. Yes, we haven't seen him battle in a long time, but, when we did, he was proven to be even with a certain "Mythical Slayer" Ash owns. I would put him above Luxray and maybe above Cinderace. Cinderace has more tag battles/Had someone battles most often. Blaziken really didn't most of the time, even when he was a Combusken.
The rest look solid.. But where's Tracy's Scyther?

I would’ve put Lucario above Greninja tbh. I don’t count their first fight since Lucario wasn’t in the right state of mind and got way stronger after that episode. He’s also displayed way better feats and accomplishments.

I feel like Flint is the very definition of "Elite 4", and the definition of that Rank in contrast to other Titles. We actually saw Flint battle 4 separate times.
Against a Trainer: Ash, Which Flint Won.
Against a Gym Leader: Jasmine, Which Flint Won.
Against a Regional Champion: Cynthia, Which Flint Lost.
Against a Regional and World Champion: Leon, Which Flint Lost.
Meaning An Elite 4 member beat lower Rank Trainers, and Lost to high Rank trainers, in being The 7th Strongest in the World, before losing to Leon dropping him to 8th... and knowing how the Masters 8 Tournament works, we do know Flint had to Lose at least 1 more time, in this case, Probably to either Alain or Iris, since Flint was not apart of the Final Masters 8 Bracket, and the Trainer in 8th in the Trainer that Battles in the next Promotion Match, which is what Ash vs Raihan was. In my opinion, id like to believe Iris is the 1 who defeated Flint to become a member of the Masters 8 herself, given that would compliment the trend too, The Champion Iris beating the Elite 4 member Flint. But now... I wonder who Alain had to defeat to become a Masters 8 member???

Given his closeness to Volkner, I could see Flint owning a Magmortar, and a Rotom-Heat, and seeing that he is an Elite 4 member, and how well he handled the battle with Jasmine, I could see him using a Steelix too, as a reference to his D/P team.

Good video but you contradict yourself heavily. You can't say that Steven should have won against Ash's Pikachu and then say that Pikachu is the strongest pokemon of all times. I don't think that any battles in Masters Eight were plot armor or badly written. Narratively they made too much sense and yes, that includes Alain vs Leon and Diantha vs Leon, it's just that pokemon fans don't understand storytelling and are focused on hype and fanservice only.

I'd say they're still reletive, both stronger than a pokemon like haxourus. Its also obvious they're both stronger than lucario, knowing lucario was struggling so much when against greninja, this is assuming charizard is still reletive to greninja. Since greninja was struggling any bit against lucario, you could scale him above Gardivoir
