Flogging Molly have a few songs that are super classics, also Dropkick Murphys, The Tossers.. The Pogues are more traditional irish than punk, but they clearly have a punk influence that makes them unique. And I recently discovered Bridge City Sinners, which are more country than celtic folk, but I'm in love with them 💙
There are quite a lot of bands out there.
Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys are probably the most well known active bands. The Pogues were also a well known band influencing most bands that came after. The Mahones, The Real McKenzies are also well known. Then there are Greenland Whalefishers, Pipes and Pints, The Rumjacks and Paddy and the Rats.
And then there are those from my home country Germany: Fiddler's Green, The O’Reillys and the Paddyhats, Mr. Irish Bastard, Saint City Orchestra
And way more I forgot or don't even know yet.

@@IanFontova A few years back I was a host at a german online radio where we mostly played (Irish-)Folk and Medieval music. Celtic-Punk was one of my specialties and I invested quite a bit of time finding new bands. But since I only casually listen to music nowadays I forgot quite a few of the bands I'm not listen to regularly.

It's Canadian! I had a look at it a while ago, to see if I could get some imported to Spain and try it 🤣 But didn't find a way. If you do, let me know!

Love how you have added the deeper tin whistle to the song, really gives it a rounded sound. Which key do you play it in please?
Thanks! I played the song in Cm. The whistle is in F, so it fits well with C dorian mode. It's called a low whistle, a modern (from the 70s) version of the traditional irish tin whistle :)
@@IanFontova Thank you for replying, honestly the way you played and arranged all the song sounds fantastic. I've managed to put together a good rhythm running through with traditional wooden spoons but still stumped on the wind section. Thank you, your video is a brilliant and authentic homage to the original song yet inspiring others with your creativity.(Have a treble recorder in F so hopefully it will mesh but I am in no way as talented as you!)
