    Mr H is such a good bloke. Especially the way he treats the staff members at the places he goes with such respect and gratitude. I can tell you that makes those peoples day. Some people can be so dismissive of fast food workers as being "less than", it's actually hard work.

    • @Do0msday
      @Do0msday Год назад +6

      I completely agree. Sometimes being friendly is "enough" to help make someone's day a little better. And shame on those that look down on them. I view it as this -- they're working. Period. It's a job and they're not collecting money while sitting at home. A job is a job and it doesn't matter what someone does for a living.

    In-N-Out originated in Baldwin Park, California and expanded into Texas in 2010. People like to compare them to Whataburger. I don't because I think they both are delicious in their own way (for instance Whataburger chops their veggies, whereas In-N-Out uses the whole lettuce leaf and sliced onion). Both use fresh ingredients which makes a really good hamburger no matter where you buy one.

      I think in and out burgers taste "fresher" and are very good, but also smaller and they dont have bacon as an option. The fries and sides are better at whataburger, along with more options for burgers. In and out is cheaper and has better shakes. Worth visiting both.

    "“There it is: my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles,” Bourdain once said of In-N-Out, the fast-food chain. “A city with many fine restaurants, by the way. Just - I'm a cheap, nasty, low-down, trailer-park burger slut.” It was his favorite fast food joint in all of the United States, and considering he comes from New York, that is absolutely the best compliment. I'm sorry, but if you haven't had In-N-Out, then you haven't had an authentic Western American Cheeseburger. And yes, fast food, including McDonalds, was created in my homestate of California. But In-N-Out didn't sell out where the McDonald brothers did.

    Both chains really cater to their specific audience. Californians are more health conscious and don't really care about sides. They like to see the veggies as a whole as it looks fresher. They go to In-N-Out as a treat. While Whataburger knows that Texans enjoy a heartier meal that has sides and a bit warmer taste, hence the chopped veggies. It is more of a full meal at Whataburger. While In-N-Out is a quicker bite.

  • @quixote6942
    @quixote6942 Год назад +2

    You had the "Double Double" (2 meat patties, 2 slices of cheese), but you can have a much larger burger, like a "Four by Four" or even a "Ten By Ten"!
    The "Animal" means you want the Caramelized Onions instead of the regular uncooked ones.
    Had you gone inside, you could've also seen them cutting the French Fries and Vegetables as well, so you KNOW how fresh everything is!
    A POPULAR THING back in the Day was to get their Bumper Sticker and cutting off the "er" in burger for a "naughty" reference... it was commonplace to see those on the bumpers of Teenagers and young adults.

  • @austinstanley859
    @austinstanley859 Год назад +2

    Great video!!
    IN-N-Out is the original burger drive thru. The family that started it and still owns it, invented the two-way order speaker and owns the patent on it, I believe. Or at least they used to. McDonald’s copied a lot of aspects from it and everyone else copied McDonald’s. So there’s decades of family’s bringing kids to in n out for their first burger.
    But the glory of In-n-out is the simplicity. Fresh, simple burgers where you can taste every ingredient and each plays a role.
    It’s a preference thing for sure. I find places like 5 guys cheap and gimmicky. I don’t want a sloppy bacon chili burger that’s dripping in grease. Endless options isn’t always a good thing. I don’t need a double heart attack bacon slop burger. lol
    IN N OUT is a CA brand and its burgers and bunless options reflect that. What-burger is a Texas brand I believe and I think it reflects the “everything bigger” brand.

      So that’s two meat patties but only one cheese (their cheese is thick so a little goes a long way), the spread, pickles and lettuce for crunch on the grilled bun. And, the diced grilled onions AND they take a whole slice of raw onion and grill it and put it on.

    Greetings from Alabama! ❤
    Mrs. H, I appreciate your honesty.
    I've seen reaction videos of people from foreign countries trying American food for the first time, and as soon as they put the food into their mouth, before even chewing, they're raving about how delicious it is, bouncing around with excitement, calling it the best food ever, etc.
    It looks so fake, and I feel like the host(s) behind the camera are telling them to "love" everything American so they'll get more views and possibly more money. Some may be recording themselves, but still behave the same way.
    I've seen Americans react to American music genres they're hearing for the first time, and they seem to be extremely fake, too.
    I can't stand it!
    You guys are _real_ with your reactions, really nice even with your thoughts on disliking something, and that also makes a difference, rather than just putting something down and using profanity to do so.
    You guys are setting a good example for your daughter. 👍🏽
    Mr. H, I'm glad you're enjoying saying "sir" and "ma'am". 🙂
    Have you all gotten used to people holding and opening doors for you, greeting you with smiles, nods, and asking how you are? 🙂

    I had to laugh when Elana was giving those animal fries the side-eye. She was happy with her regular fries, but I could tell she wanted to try those animal fries. I know plenty of people have already said this in other videos, but it's good that you're giving her exposure to other styles of food at such a young age. The more flavors a child experiences at a young age, the more likely they are to eat a wide range of foods as they grow up. (It's not a guarantee, but it certainly doesn't hurt, either.)

    I was in California last year. Went there and got the animal style Double Double cheeseburger. I'll be honest, it was good but it wasn't amazing. Like something from a food truck.

      In-n-out is a better McDonald, you can’t compare it to a high end burger, even food truck will get you a better burger, but then you are going to pay like 16 bucks and not 4$

    I love both Whataburger and In-N-Out. If I had to pick one I lean towards Whataburger because I’m really not a fan of the In-N-Out fries on their own. When they’re animal style they’re better but when you pair up a Patty Melt and fries with spicy ketchup and a Diet Dr Pepper, it’s a near perfect burger meal for me. I do love the In-N-Out double double animal style though.

    Great hair, Mrs. H. Well done you. 👍🏻
    In n Out is my favorite chain burger. Quality and consistency, and the staff are always, always, always friendly. I order my fries well done, mostly because I like them blazing hot. Crispy is great, too but temperature is key for me. I also ask for grilled onions on my burger instead of raw.

And we both know that husbands are little boys in bigger bodies, and like I always say "the only difference between men and boys is the price and size of their toys!" .... but that goes right along with their appetites too, doesn't it... yep, I have a husband like that too... lol!! 😊❤😊❤

    I am from California so In&Out are all over the place. But when in Texas I goto Whataburger. They also have more variety than In&Out which only has burger and fries. I agree with your take. But with no Whataburger locally I do visit In&Out. For the price and quality In&Out is very good.

    In-N-out to me since I live in LA seem's to be more of a staple for us, rather than Whataburger. That's definitely a Texas thing. I tried it and didn't care for it. Sticking with my in-N-out.😊 Glad you guy's tried it.👍

    In-N-Out is okay if I'm out and it's the only burger place around, but if you are in Texas you have to try BRAUMS! The Burgers, fries in peppered gravy and real ice cream milkshakes are all great there.

      Amen to that! They’re actually a step above Whataburger. I do not say that lightly but, they are. The double bacon cheeseburger is juicy, flavorful and filling. Those steak fries are great. and it’s awesome that you can just get ice cream right there and then. They have great flavors. The drink that you must absolutely try if you go there is the cherry limeade. They make it for you on demand. It is just “ bloody gorgeous“ as the Brits say. I am firmly convinced it was touched by the hand of God!
