    Try using the magic eraser sponge. It lifts colour so easily without affecting the integrity of the paper…. And have fun😀

      My understanding is that eraser has a chemical acid type thing. Wouldnt be archival

    • @victoriousvalentine9779
      @victoriousvalentine9779 Месяц назад

      @@sandysyoutube3810 it doesn't contain acid. Why would it be relevant? You are REMOVING colour. I don't get it. Used this Magic Eraser for at least a decade

    Great! I do this but use a damp Magic Eraser and it picks up a lot of the colour without too much water which might seep under the stencil 😊

    Fantastic! What a beautiful design. I've been using stencils (and yes, they are so incredibly addictive) with alcohol ink with amazing effects also. I can't wait to try this. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your amazing talent!

    You could also go back in with dark paint, using the negative space technique to strengthen the image.

    This turns out truly lovely and I'm going to try it for myself and have some fun, but for me it is more of a demonstration than a tutorial. There are few captions and no voice over to explain what you're doing. Please would you tell me if you dry the paper between each layer of paint before going in with the stencil lifting out technique? 🙂

    • @KristaRobertsonArt
      @KristaRobertsonArt  6 месяцев назад

      I dry the layer at about the 3:20 mark in the video and let it fully dry before i start the stencil lifting

    Just so very relaxing to watch your process!!! Have to try this technique! Do you have to damp paintbrush over stencil area first each time before lifting? I noticed for some that you just used the toothbrush- maybe the brush itself had enough moisture? I loved the entire video/music❤️

    • @KristaRobertsonArt
      @KristaRobertsonArt  6 месяцев назад +1

      Oh i should have mentioned that, you only need to use the damp toothbrush (on this Baohong cotton paper). I use the brush more when using non cotton paper as its a bit more delicate ☺️

      You can also use a regular sponge instead of the magic eraser if you use non cotton paper that lifts more easily 😊

      I dont know but i would try the sponge first or a magic eraser if you have that. Might not want to use a toothbrush for mixed media paper.
