This was parked behind us at Mare Island just before being towed to Groton. Had the pleasure of going below and taking part in some reenlistments. Had my picture taken at the helm.
Very cool vessel, nice work getting her on film in her current state
Good flight
Played hooky from school. Snuck in EB yard and was at commissioning ceremony in New London, CT.
Looks like they solved the pigeon problem! Looks great with the masts in place and the side-saddles gone. Great final shot!
I was thinking it would be pretty cool to catch a newer boat coming up the river, but I'd bet they'd be pretty twitchy about that. Might get splashed.

@@bsgtrekfan88 I was stationed there for three years in the mid-90s. I'm so glad they saved that ship. All the others I sailed on have been scrapped.
