This is why LeFlop's points total isn't impressive. Any who is 6'8" and at least slightly athletic could score the types of baskets he typically gets. Dunking/layups on an unprotected rim.
I watched highlights from him passing Malone. One of the highlights (might be the actual bucket to pass the Mailman) he catches the ball (travels) and dunks or does a layup( i dont remember how it went in.)
What I do remember is: There are two defenders that just stand there. Literally as if it were a layup drill in practice. Barely moved a muscle.
Now compare that to Jordan going around Oakley and another knick, and dunking over the top of Ewing. Or watch a full game from the ECF against the Bad Boys in 89 and 90. Then realise Jordan averaged 29.7 in 89ECF and over 32ppg in 90ECF while being hammered by the (arguably) dirtiest team in NBA history.

They never have a case for LBJ over MJ’s accomplishments. There’s a reason why they call his era “weak”, that he had a “superteam” bc it’s the only way for them to convince themselves those accolades mean nothing. That’s why you also see them make up pointless criteria for the goat title that favors LBJ. I mean take a look at this...
    Finals losses
    Less first round losses
    Accumulative stats
    “What if” scenarios
I’m sure there’s more but look at that, I’ve never heard LBJ fans praise a guy like Karl Malone for having 3 finals losses, boosting him up bc he lost to MJ twice, having more points than him, being 2nd all time (at the time) in scoring. That’s not a goat
case, only until LBJ came in the league and started racking up stats, having more shortcomings than wins is when shit flipped.

Bron would still be a great player but not as great....for as long. Why? Because his greatest strength his size and speed wouldn't be as great an advantage under the rules and style on NBA play. He could not play bully ball as effectively. Defense could more effectively keep the ball out of his hands....he would have been beat on like Shaq was...more injuries.....
Jordan in LeBron's era of touch fouls...eurosteps...no handchecking....increased 3pt attempts which lead to even more runouts...Jordan would lead the NBA in scoring....steals....blocks probably and assists if he desired. He also would have been more efficient longer without the wear and tear of physicality and recruiting two all NBA players to be beside him each year so you could never effectively double and triple team every trip down court.

If it was crowning Lebron the Goat after three rings is Nicks argument.
Why isn't Steph Curry the Goat. He got his three beating Lebron.
Why isn't Kobe Bryant the Goat. He Three peated and did a repeat.
Well Jordan three peated. Took a year off. three peated (AGAIN)
Lebron repeated once. Beat the Warriors 1/4 times. And got a BIG* Astericks Bubble Championship. He's lost more than he's won. He's had more help. He's taken a longer time to do it. So congrats Lebron, you're a slightly more successful Karl Malone. That's still an accomplishment but you're no GOAT, You're a ScapeGOAT. Runs, Quits or Blames when the Competition is its toughest.

The longer LBJ delays his retirement from basketball the bigger the gap gets between MJ and him as the Greatest Of All Times. MJ is simply superior and the accolades speak for itself. The longer LBJ plays, yes he will break records, it would be just another asterisk in his resume if he wouldn’t but thats the point. LBJ has too many asterisks in his GOAT resume, jumping from team to team pursuing rings, stacking teams that would carry him to the finals to get what he wants. MJ simply did it better, in less time and with more accolades to show. Its simple.

Given Lebron scores most of his points close to the hoop, the nearly identical FG% leans heavily in MJ's favor. Shooting guards with a FG% similar to paint scorers like Lebron are far more valuable as it is much easier to find a replacement player who can make 50%+ near the hoop. MJ took high difficulty shots, often fading away, drifting right or left off a drive, 15-18 feet, etc. as you know if you were watching the NBA in the 80s and 90s, and as you can see from his highlight reels.
