I decided to buy one of the J macis jazz Masters a while back I was shocked how well it stays in tune how it was set up I put eights on it though. The first jazz master I've ever purchased in. It was a huge bargain. I thought thanks for posting.
Nice deal, very nice guitar. I love 12 strings and have owned several. Problem is the use is far and few between. But when you do need a 12 the jangle is killer good! PS...MY Black Friday Deal was, and I apologize for not posting it here yesterday, was the Monoprice 15 Watt Tube Amp with Spring Reverb. Normally sells for $279.99, is on sale now for $234.99. On Black Friday they had an additional $25 off for purchases over $75. Brought it down to $209.99 plus Tax Free Shipping. I'm all-in at $228.10. The amp has one thing that I don't have on any of my amps and that is an effects loop. If I see this deal pop again, I'll let you know. Happy Holidays!
Few things I don't agree with. One - try playing this through a compressor pedal into your amp, lower your bass control a bit on the amp. Also, I love the tone of these with some gain. I like putting this through a Boss OD-3 with the gain to about 3-4. Tone knob just above halfway. With the proper EQ, you'll enjoy that tone as well. Hard Days Night tones all day better than any Rickenbacker
One of my Black Friday purchases was a Squier too, the Squier Sonic Mustang ($139).. The other is a Vangoa 12 string acoustic ($186). Neither one has arrived yet. I do like that Paranormal Jazzmaster 12 string! I'm also a Guitar Maxx channel watcher and enjoy it when he does unboxings with a sword. A little showmanship is ok now and then. Though I respect your straight forward no nonsense approach and certainly have benefitted from your knack for finding great deals! Keep up the great work!
I got the same one about 6 months ago when they first marked them down $100... hard to argue with that price ($350). I first thought the tuners were junk but the guitar stays in tune nicely.
In the 80s . My cousin bought a Squire, he loved my American Strat. I didn’t like the Squire At all. But a lot of guitars are getting better. How about Chinese, or Japan guitars for a 12 string? $$?
Nice purchase Joe. Squier's been hitting these Paranormals out of the park. An affordable 12 string for sub $300 is insane. I wonder if the substandard packing was because it's a true OPen Box where someone else owned it and sent it back. Btw, a gold anodized pickguard would look great on it and help silence the hum.
Nice guitar. I love your videos. I ordered some strings yesterday from Musicians Friend. I am so happy with my Yamaha L Series and my FG830. Perhaps next year I will get another acoustic for my Birthday.
I TOTALLY agree on the boring waste of time unboxing. I always fast forward by them. Like you I'm not a big fan of the Offset. That's an amazing price you paid. I'm wiling to bet you'll flip it! LOL. The Neck Drive is a drawback for me also on this guitar. I, like you, sit and play the guitar, and do not play out. only wear a strap 20% of the time too so that diving would drive me nuts. Thanks for the valuable info on this Squier 12 String, and I hope your Thanksgiving was peaceful and enjoyable...especially since we DO NOT watch NYFootball anymore. YIKES! Stay well, brother!
Nice guitar and nice deal, Joe! I’ve thought about a 12 string. Double the strings to tune and maybe I would sound twice as bad when playing it:) Congrats!
My J Mascis Jazzmaster was ordered from Musicians Friend and came packaged badly, but still had the store hang tag on it and it was packaged and shipped by a close by guitar center. I think that explains why so much variation in how they are shipped.
Reverend has one out that is affordable. I expect there may be more tension on the neck of a twelve string, you got a heck of a deal. Looks and sounds great. No excuse for poor boxing in shipping. Careless company, just doesn’t care!
I had an old Ovation 12-string & tuned it a full step down (played with a capo when I wanted concert pitch). In the end my bridge *still* lifted. 12-string electrics seem far more robust - and overall a better platform for that kind of tension.
The neck looks like it has a finished gloss on it, the back and headstock. Looks better, and cleaner. Anything more than 6 strings is beyond me. Amazon has 20% off some of its resale guitars, saw some used squires with it. You might be able to search for which ones are 20% off, but it didn't work in my browser.
I bought the CV 60’s Jazzmaster a few months ago. It’s quickly become my favorite guitar. I played the same one you got at the time, but the sound was too jangly for me.
I've been looking at these, but have not been able to find a hard shell case for it. I don't like bags and live in an environment that is very dry so a hard case helps protect against dryness. Has anyone had any luck finding a hard case for these?
Hi Joe, Nice review. I'm not a big fan of unboxing either. I prefer the passing comment: single / double boxed; secured by styrofoam; etc. You're right. It's most a waste of time / filler. When I was young, I was a big fan of Hendrix and distortion. Not sure why, but I'm not anymore. I just like the various sounds made by clean guitars and amps. Just a matter of taste. Also, that sounds like a great price, but I'm retired and on a fixed income, so it's a little out of my price range. ...But still nice to see a review on, in case I ever want to save up my pennies. LoL
Never think of yourself as a nobody Joe! We love you and we love your videos. Keep rocking brother!
Thanks Greg! Hope you are well brother.
I picked the blue one and I absolutely love it

Nice snag Frank!
That's a great amp. Love all the MP tube models.
Congratulations. This 12 string sounds like a winner. Enjoy it!
You're not a nobody, I watch all your videos. Very informative. And a straight up chap. Best wishes from England.
Thanks Robert! Be well my friend! Thanks for watching from England.
Beautiful guitar at a great price! Have fun with it, Joe!
That is a great sounding guitar! Great find, Joe! Cheers!
Hey Joe! You got a big friendly shout-out from Phil McKnight on his show last night.
Very nice of Phil! Thanks Mark.
@AJgeartalk You're welcome. Thanks for being our super shopper. I'm very much enjoying my Guild acoustic you gave the deal alert about last January.
oooh I'll have to check that out!
Super nice guitar. Thanks for sharing

Appreciate the tips Bobcat!
Excellent video and guitar Joe!!! Congratulations. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Same to you brother!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder bro, I love everything about it!!

I love paranormal guitars . they're cool and different

I didn’t like the Squire
At all.

It was. Mine came new from the box and had much better packaging

I never knew that I needed a 12-string before!🤣
Sounds great Joe.
Good job!!!
I agree don’t like offsets and fugly headstock but it does the trick for not much money 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving Dennis! Yep- no more football for rest of the year.....
Very nice, I have been looking at those. I however, having just sold an Ibanez Talman acoustic for $160 went with that Alto Music Kramer for the $150.
Happy NGD - Congrats!
I bought one a little while back but I modded with a Gunstreet wiring harness and a set of Buddha JM pups. Great mod platform but passible as is.
Nice guitar and nice deal, Joe! I’ve thought about a 12 string. Double the strings to tune and maybe I would sound twice as bad when playing it:) Congrats!
Hey Craig! It's never stopped me! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
@ Hang a pair of skates off of the back strap button. That will take care of the next dive:)
@@CraigMJamieson Great idea!
Craig, an old saying about 12-strings is you spend half your time tuning and the other half playing out of tune.
@@markpell8979 I suspected that might be the case:) Thank you for confirming my worst fears, Mark!

Never owned an electric 12 string. Very cool. 😎
Sounds great, on my phone anyway.

Been looking at one at GC 350 we will see 🙈 if it happens
I almost pulled the trigger on of these in fiesta red

It sounds fantastic! I think you lose some of that 12 string vibe when you add a little too much dirt
Smurf hat! 😂
There is a reason nobody makes 12 string electric guitars.
What is that?
