Villagers…

- I found a way to increase the head articulation of a Minecraft character by ripping out the socket that holds the head to the figure and putting Sticky Tack in it. Doing this is painful. Lego Minecraft Villagers are not cheap! I will probably stick to just the two heads that I modified and spare the rest of the villagers. Also, these villager characters may or may not be stolen from @Elemantanimations.
I am also experimenting with mouth animation. Do you guys think it looks better with It? It is very time consuming but it might be worth it.
I light it it looks good
It looks awesome
Yes
I personally prefer it without it, mainly because the tendency is to animate the mouth and not animate the figure, and I prefer a figure with more expressive movement rather than a moving mouth.
That being said you've done both here, but like you said it's very time consuming. So it's completely up to you if you think it's worth it or not.
yes
The last line hit rlly hard
Real.
I always love the headcanon voice of village are base of villager news
This screams element animation, and I love it
Thats what I thought 😂
To reduce light flicker, make sure all your windows are covered. The changes in light shot to shot are caused by the clouds moving in front of the sun. Be sure the only light on your set is from your own lights
I only use my own lights, and I still have a little bit of flicker.
Maybe you can remove half the neck pieces and leave the other half of the villagers untouched just in case. I like the mouth animation and this was pretty funny! (Also for the flicker you can be mindful of where you cast your own shadows on the set. Learned that from experience 😅)
I love the mouth movements! This is really good!
I like how we all agree the element animation villager sound is the default sound
To reduce flicker, use artificial lights such as a desk lamp and only have the light in front of you. If it is behind you, it can cast shadows. Don't use natural light as clouds can also cause flicker.
If this means we're getting Villager News:
type videos. Most definitely worth it
A good way to reduce light flicker is to set the shutter speed to 1/40th or longer (but it will get very bright the longer it is)
on stop motion studio
Reminds me of those birds off of finding nemo
I love the Element Animation Villagers.
To get rid of light flicker you need to wear all black, have no outside light, and never use your ceiling light. If none of that works then you gotta mask it out.
"Breaking news We've been turned into plastic heres Villager number 9 for more info!"
I mean you only really need a couple villagers to have the expressive heads, the rest you can spare
For the light flicker remember to only animate with really dark clothing on stuff that won't reflect light. Also only use lights that you plug in no battery operated
This is amazing!!! How did you get the villagers voice like that? It’s sound just like from villager news!!!
Pls make a series with these villagers attempting to take over the world
i think you should give surgery to one duplicate so you can use that one for the rest and that villager really knows how to roast
Such a hilarious video 😂 I think what you have done with them works great for stop motion! Perhaps half of them you leave alone and the other half you perform surgery? 👀
I think that the extra head movement gives more character to the figure, so I think that you should
Good stuff bro😂 do it, If you use stop motion Studio, then I know a way to fix light flickering
As bad as it sounds... LET THE MUTILATION COMMENCE! the extra articulation looks amazing
Id say maby do it to half of the villigers to make head rotation easyer
hahah i hate flicker 😭😭😭 lol tho i think its prob a good idea if u only are going to be doing animation with it. i have to share my legos with my brothers so im unable to do stuff like that
LOL last sentence ✊✊✌️
Well I mean the test video is technically about his face
Its worth it...... villager newsssssss!
As a person who doesn't even had a lego villager 0:18 pains me so much
Imagine being the person who actually had to do it 😭
Fr lol
That really hurt to watch 😂
RIP Villagers 😭
That's gotta hurt destroying their necks like that, but it's all part of the process
Reduce flicker without using natural light and your room light so only desk lamps and wear black shirts if all else fails mask it out
Merry Christmas
We are already close to 2k let's go
It looks amazing, but at what cost
Lmao, looks good
MUTILATION? Oof poor villagers, least they werent killed by creepers.
Why do the villagers sound like elements studios villagers.
Very good
As usual, block out all natural light(like seriously even a little can cause flicker),and also because legos are reflective so maybe wear a black shirt when you’re animating.
Hmm nice
YES!
I think its worth it
Fitst!
Show this to Dan
How did you do it though?
Well I cut off the necks of my Office minifigures…
Oof. Talk about painful! 😬
(Also, I can’t wait to see your office recreation!)
the video's gonna be out soon
your face is a test video haha
Your face is a test video!
ahahaha
Hhhmmm
