I love Joshua‘s weekly videos because you know you’re going to watch them multiple times. Good content, common sense, wisdom and encouragement. Thank you to Joshua, his wife and his team for making these possible. Thank you for my Friday Refresh! ❤
In one of my favorite movies, there is a scene where Amarante Cordova wakes up, looks in the mirror, and says, "Thank you God for letting me have another day!" Sometimes I say that in the morning when I get up. I have a health issue, which makes me even more grateful for another day. I will write down your list, Joshua. It is a great list. It will help me enjoy each day I am given even more! Thank you!
I have had a chronic illness for 43 years and as I’ve gotten older I am so appreciative for every day I have to spend with my loved ones. It’s such a blessing. It’s something you appreciate more when your health has been compromised. I wish you the best.❤️🙏
Wonderful, thank you! I have to wake up early every weekday to go to my work, but I choose to wake up early on the weekends as well to have this quiet time of the day for myself.
I "decluttered" toxic productivity advice when I realized how DISempowering it was due to childhood emotional abuse and a lifetime of being shamed for ADHD. Took a chance on this, and I'm glad I did! I've experienced the power of all these tips and this was inspiration to prioritize them. : - ) 0:53 - 1. Wake up early. 1:17 - 2. Eat right. 1:35 - 3. Exercise. 2:00 - 4. Dear JB I watched the video on the value of keeping counter tops clutter free. I cleared my kitchen and my guest bedroom and my living and dining area. I have put away stuff into drawers that were already overflowing with stuff. As a recycler it is hard to find a balance. But...I've started thanks to you. My home looks so much better and i feel better for it as does my family. Thank you for the valuable insights. 3 minutes of convenience + 23 hours 57 minutes of visual clutter is a terrible trade off. You were my light bulb moment
You are a very good clear speaker. It's good to show people that you have had difficultys as well. I'm 74 so can't do much but my task today was to move the supermarket trolley from outside 3 doors up (the only thing half an hour after that someone dumped a small table outside )I think it's to stop a motorcycle being parked there while a bloke visits his housebound friend. Never mind I will have to do another very early moving trip,to help my neighbours friend.Thankyou all very excellent tips.
Heard about you on the JoyFM. We had already begun our minimalist journey when I heard about you. We are also back on the Dave Ramsey wagon and are debt free. We are also eating healthy and both have loss weight. I'm a bi-vocational pastor in Lake City Florida
What if you get up so early( 5 am) because you have to? It is hard to enjoy it even If it is quiet. And when you are so exhausted after your working day, that you don't even have any energy to do a hobby that you might have loved before everything got so overwhelming??? Some things are easier said than done sometimes. But anyways, good content.
Good content, but agree with you :) only so much of a person to go around. We all have parameters and being worn thin is quite common, moreso in women if they have a full-time profession, a spouse and/or children. 10 minutes of exercise in AM and a 20 minute nap at lunch (closed office door or in vehicle) were really helpful to me. These motivational channels are a good way to get new ideas, so kudos for your efforts! Sometimes the best thing we can accomplish in a day is to show ourselves love and acceptance. And 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep, LOL.
Sometimes you have to decide if you want to live your life like that, and determine if another kind of work would, in the long run, be a better life for you.
Thank you both for your answers.👍 If changing the job ist not an option I think the nap in the lunchtime ist a really good idea!! Greetings from Germany 🌷🌷
@@susannegiesen2114 Hi again! I've always needed a lot of sleep to function and to stay well. I literally started napping 20 min a day in my late twenties when I lived about 5 minutes from work and found that I had more energy that way with seven hours of sleep a night than I did if I slept 9 hours a night. A great multivitamin helps also, maybe some iron. Some quick exercise that gets heart rate up also helps health and energy levels as it speeds up metabolism. I literally feel a big difference with only 10 minutes on a rowing machine I bought at a garage sale for 10 bucks years ago. I guess I could say I got my money's worth, LOL. Swimming /water aerobics is also great if you want to avoid high-impact exercise. The other poster had some good advice also. In today's world you're fortunate that companies have initiated flex hours and remote work. It was always sheer torture for me to be to an office by 8 or 9 a.m. I've always been a night person, 5 am doesn't work for me unless I'm going to sleep then. Which reminds me, it's 5 am here now....best wishes from Florida USA.

I've really learned a lot from you not just from the book but to this channel as well! Thank u so much😊
I am retired and can easily do the steps but when I was working with kids it was impossible. I use to put the kids to bed and then spent 45 minutes by myself and that helped me more than anything.

Dear Joshua, I was wondering what you have to say about the phenomenon "The road to hell is paved with good intentions". It happens so often that we mean well and we try to do a good deed; however, it has a negative impact on somebody. For instance, one saves a bird from the claws of the cat. The bird lives, and it is a good thing; though the cat is starving. It happened to me so many times (my good deeds are not being that good after all)), so I am now afraid to do something good for others.
Overall, you are right..in theory..do you go to work, driving 40 min one way, from Monday to Friday ? Do you have one child in primary school, another high school with after school and weekend activities ? Do you have elderly parents and no siblings ? Etc etc..and ..not everybody has a partner, but has children, not everybody’s partner is helpful, sometimes works away etc etc. Yes..getting up early, eating healthy..can be easily achieved, the rest...sometimes, when we are lucky. This is such an unrealistic plan, that we should avoid it. When we make these lists of optimal life, we put enormous pressure on ourselves and that’s what kills us, causes depression etc..people..take it easy ! Around 30 years ago or so, all statistics and research indicated all the self help gurus and books actually made our life worse not better. I am treating this channel as a reminder to stop accumulating stuff, have a bit more minimalistic approach, that’s all. The rest, I have much more knowledge. Please stop telling us how to live in every aspect, as the only conclusion is we are never good enough and have to improve ourselves...which is RUBBISH !

U need to move camera around or use font..... the plain talk for 15 min tends to be boring...change some format....just a suggestion
